cross play between ps4 and xbox. (minecraft)

hello, i have a Ps4 and i have linked my Microsoft account with the code to my minecraft. the problem is that now when i try to sign in to my microsoft account again on ps4 it pops a message up saying "we tried to sign you in to your Microsoft account,
but something went wrong." can you plz help me be able to log into my Microsoft account on minecraft so i can play with people on Xbox.

is your Minecraft up to date and is the other person on ps4 because I think they haven't done cross play for both of them yet only a select few games have cross play between Xbox and ps4

Both players need an Xbox Live account.

There seems to be a bug signing in to Microsoft accounts in Minecraft on PS4. Mojang say on twitter that they are aware of the problem, and are working to fix it.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Are you the player playing on Xbox One? The ability to cross-play is behind a privacy setting. If you are playing on a child account, you would need to have this setting adjusted by the parent account. Please
