Cross Play against Playstation users (console Wars)

Discus and support Cross Play against Playstation users (console Wars) in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; I think it would be really cool to ignite console wars in a different way.     Cross Play against Playstation users (console Wars)


    I think it would be really cool to ignite console wars in a different way. Take madden or 2k for instance if we could get cross play and track the data about how many xbox users W/L against a playstation or users. This would excite the community to play more hours and show off the skill against the other platforms.

    I cant add my friend on battlefield 2042

    Players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can play with and against each other, but not with players on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S - even with cross-play turned on.

    PC is not crossplay with console (ps4/xbox one) on this or any battlefield game.

    When you have console gamers playing against PC gamers, you'll always have some sort of unfair advantage in favor of the PC gamers. Whether it's keyboard/mouse or just that their hardware is better and can run the games better. I'm looking forward to cross
    platform with Xbox users playing against PlayStation. I know initially Sony was against it, but from what I've read they seem to be warming up to the idea more.

    It may be going between Sony and MS consoles, but in a very minimal way. It's still a long leap to getting cross-ecosystem real-time multiplayer gaming.

    As for cross-platform gaming, Happy Wars is promising that for its release on Xbox One you will be able to play against people on the 360.

    Playstation currently doesn't allow cross platform play with Xbox yet.

    As for playing against PC players, you will need a game that supports cross platform play.

    Examples for such games are:

    • Minecraft (the one without the "Xbox One Edition" in the name, and the Windows 10 Minecraft version. Java Minecraft on PC won't work).
    • The Forza games on PC like Forza 7, Forza Horizon 3
    • Sea of Thieves
    • Gears of War 4
    • State of Decay 2
    Most other games from other publishers (i.e. not Microsoft Game Studios) are probably unable to play cross platform. So you won't be able to play FIFA or Call of Duty with your PC friends.

    It has to be an Xbox Play Anywhere title as stated before. You can play with other users like Playstation for example, but thats cross-play which is different.
