Cross Platform Voice Chat

Discus and support Cross Platform Voice Chat in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I'm running the XB App on Windows 10 and cross platform voice chat has been non-existent for me.     Cross Platform Voice Chat


    I'm running the XB App on Windows 10 and cross platform voice chat has been non-existent for me. Particularly, I've been trying to do this in Gears of War 4.

    If I join a game that has PC players only. No Problem. Works fine.

    If I join one of the game modes with cross platform co-op modes, nothing.

    I've gone as far as opening my PC as the DMZ on my home network...though I'm not sure why that would impact voice chat for cross platform but not for everything else.

    Can you talk in a party with people on Xbox 360?

    You are not able to use solely the Xbox to voice message, voice chat, or voice party cross-platform. Cross-platform Skype is a different situation altogether.

    Chief Xbox One Platform Architect, Marc Whitten, has confirmed that cross-platform voice chat will not be available: "For a variety of technical reasons - including the sound quality that I talked about above - we don't support voice chat between the two
    systems." You will still be able to send text messages cross-platform though. As it currently stands, cross-platform voicing is not looking to be done due to the aforementioned issues.

    No. Cross-platform gaming and voice chat (messaging and party) using the Xbox chat system are not possible. You can send text messages or use Skype cross-platform though.

    ^^^wrong....PS4 and PS3 players can only text chat cross platform (just like xbox one to xbox360 can) there is no cross platform voice chat natively for either next gen console....
