I was extremely excited when I saw that Halo 2 was coming back in it's full entirety without any changes to it. To me that game is the best multiplayer game ever made! Halo 2 coming back in it's original state made decide I would buy an Xbox One IF AND ONLY
IF it came back in it's full glory, as I don't care about the new halo games since they try to imitate COD vs being themselves, which creates a bad gameplay environment from my standpoint. Anyhow I was reading about the multiplayer and I saw some disturbing
news, although the source could be wrong. According to the source linked below, there will be "Hopper" variants of game modes that switch between the different Halo games, and from that "players will have a single ranking that spans across Halo 1-4 for
matchmaking and showing-off purposes.". I find that the ranking system combining all the halo games rankings into one ranking is total B.S.! The reason why I say that is that this ranking is to show off your skill level, and every ones skill level at a particular
game changes, not staying the same for them all! I've played all the COD games out there and my K/D ranges between 1.5 ratio and a 3.53 ratio depending on the game, to tell me that I have a 2.2 K/D ratio would be BS in any game I play because its either higher
than my actual K/D or lower than it, and I want these ratings to represent skill!!! I loved the competitive nature of Halo 2 in how it would match me up with players of my own skill level to face off against! For the most part every match was on the edge which
was both hella fun, and required superb teamwork, but then again I'm a very competitive person and find that the major allure to halo 2. If you dilute the ranking system the match quality will be greatly reduced. I understand that there is a population concern
for finding matches, but why not just make different skill ratings for each of the different games to keep them at the proper level of competitiveness? I don't think that I stand alone when I say I don't want my stats mixed, I think the vast majority of players
will agree with me, as people like their COD stats separate too. If you want a "Hopper" rank to find matches for people crossing the games go for it, but don't have it reflected when playing specific games, and I suggest still adding sub ranks on specific
games as people hop through them so they know their actual skill. If you make halo 2 like it used to be in its full entirety with the same sort of leveling/stats system separate from the other halos, maybe with some slight changes in the difficulty to reach
level 50 as it was unrealistic in Halo 2, then I'll buy the game. (Still make it near impossible though Cross Multiplayer issues. :) ).

All of the hardcore Halo 2 players that I used to play with that I'm still in touch with want halo 2 to come back in its entirety without tweaks, which it appears you are doing so far, but that also includes ranks, and game modes available. If you do
such the sales of "The Master Chief Collection" should be hella strong. If not I don't see any reason to spend $520 dollars to get this game, as it's the only reason why I'm contemplating getting an Xbox One/renewing my XBL since I'm content with the PS4.
I'll wait between 1-3 weeks before deciding to buy the game and the Xbox One, as I want to make sure the game is true to the old one before I purchase, as I was extremely unhappy when I purchased the Halo 1 Anniversary and vowed to never do it again unless
I see full proof otherwise. From what I can tell the core of the game is being made right and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out! I just hope that the matchmaking portion of the game is still solid.
