Cross gen multiplayer not working on overwatch 2 is it just me and my mates or is it everyone?

Hi TollyRoss, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Earlier there is a matchmaking issue with Overwatch 2 but as I have checked Xbox already fixed the issue. There are multiple reports earlier today.

Kindly try performing a powercycle on your console by following the steps below and try again:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

^^^ I'm just gutted they couldn't include multiplayer naval battles... one of the downsides of cross-gen games though I suppose.

Because they are thinking like apply and the iPhone market. There wont be an update for the two platforms to play with each other. MS wants you to buy the latest platform and ditch the old one. It is more profitable, like buying the new iPhone with all the
new features. It is a marketing strategy to get everyone off the Xbox 360 since everyone has been playing on it for so long. Once more then half of the MS members have then new Xbox one then they will put an update out to play multiplayer games on both platforms.

Context is important. If you read that over again, you would quickly see the context of the "they" you quoted, was referring to gamers. You seem like a smart enough fellow, so i am not sure why i have to explain elementary level reading comprehension to
you. Unless you are just trying to be argumentative, by misquoting me and arguing against points that you know i did not make. If that is the case, you are not smart enough of a fellow to pull it off, so just stop it.
