Credit my Xbox Live Account

Is it possible just to vredit my Xbox live account with a one off lump sum?

I bought one using my Xbox credit that's been on my account for years. Had no idea MS now lets you pay for hardware using Xbox Live credit, but this was a good way to use up that credit. Will probably just sell the console and then use the money to get a Switch.

A mix of Credit Card and online gift cards. The Xbox Live marketplace is weird for me, it charges me tax when using a credit card directly, but doesn't charge me any tax when using my Microsoft account balance. So usually what I tend to do is always makes sure I have something in my account balance so when I use my credit card, it only subtracts what was left over after taking from the account, and this never includes tax.

Not sure what credit you are referring. If you are referring to Rewards Credits then this would need to be posted in the Xbox Rewards Support section. If
you are referring to Microsoft Account currency credit for whatever reason you are supposed to get credit, then I would recommend contacting Microsoft Phone Support to assist as they are the

If I understand the question correctly...

You can't add currency to your Microsoft Account directly with a credit/ debit/ PayPal payment, but you can buy the Xbox Live Gift cards (like the previous Points cards) to redeem on your account. They're available at retail, and some online retailers
have instant codes (Amazon and GameStop, probably) for purchase.
