    can i redeem a xbox gift card on my xbox1 without having a credit card linked to my account?i was planning on buying a xbox gold membership from a physical store and just redeeming the code.and buying a giftcard to buy games.

    Either use a vpn and pay by card, or go to the Russian MS store and buy Xbox Live Gift cards and then use the credit from them.

    Gift cards. I have never used my debit card on any online surface or purchase. And, I never will. I use a credit card when I absolutely have to for purchases. Otherwise, I get cash and buy gift cards to use online. I don't trust any platform or network to host my credit card information.

    I'm old-fashioned in that sense. I use cash where I can, when I can.

    Hey there undeadkillerbze.

    You'll need a billing address to make a purchase, but so long as you have enough money tied to your Xbox Live account to cover tax you shouldn't need to use a credit card.

    Is it a gift credit card by chance? I ask as most credit card companies reissue there cards much more frequent. if it is a gift card then those are pretty much hit or miss

    You should be able to use a Visa gift card as if it were a normal credit card, so you'll want to use the credit card option rather than the gift card option. Hope this helps! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

    Payment method doesn't matter. You can use credit card, Paypal, or currency from gift cards. You won't get credit for adding a gift card to your account.
