"credit card info not retrieved" message when try to download free game with gold.

I'm trying to download the free with gold game and I'm getting a message stating that "Your credit card info couldn't be retrieved. Buy this item with money in your Microsoft account or try again later." Is there some issue currently happening that is creating
this error message? I have never come across this before. Thanks!

Can't download Netflix because: "Your credit card info could not be retrieved."

I'm having the same issues, but with any free apps. I just signed up for Xbox live free account (doing the 1 month free trial). I added my credit card info and every time I try to download a free app, it says credit card cannot be retrieved.

This is annoying. Not sure why MS requires CC info for FREE apps.

 

There's an issue downloading content right now, there's a status page about it and it's likely this is the reason.

When that page says the issue has been resolved, try again to complete the download and it should work for you.

Let us know if the issue persists after this.

 

Have had the same problem all day even after its bee resolved just added money and now i can buy anything except with credit card.
