Just to prove a point, is the creator mode a MOD? In the sense of being a modder?

To be fair, I would say it TECHNICALLY is... but a legal one as Rockstar put it into the game in the first place and there's no real detrimental value or negative side effects to it like other Mods. But as it doesn't affect the overall world of GTAO, only
a small part (as you and others are taken to a 'instance' where you and the others are separate from other players) it's not really a mod in the sense of increase money mods, invulnerability mods etc etc. Those affect the overall world and aren't fair to others.

Creator Mode isn't like that.

 

I was recently accused of using "mods" (creator mode) as a form of online modding/cheating.

 

I know... I read that post, and Creator mode is NOT modding/cheating. Use mods etc to get God Mode, X amount of Cash, unlimited ammo etc (which I have seen happen in GTAO)... those are cheating and the person using them should be removed to the bad sports
server and at least a report against them for cheating

 

I said if you are going to be bashing modders be careful because the creative mode is a mod tool, which you said yourself is technically a modding tool.

I like you guys thats why I am giving you a heads up that what your using and what its considered. A while on the subject, I know its not cheating, but I also know you can't label every modder a sumbag cheater either.

 

the mod shop is a mod, customizing your guns is a mod, but these are legal mods. the creator that bad 2020 is talking about is also a legal mod. adding money and god mode, those are illegal mods, because that is not what rockstar wanted in there game. plus
its cheating.

 

^ exactly what I have been trying to say but pulling out PC terms and mixing with consoles does not work. If its DLC on console then its a DLC. No matter if you see it as a mod or not. You made me sound like a cheater which at least a few from these pages
can assure you that I am not.

BAD 2020 is not a cheater... After playing Mass Effect 3 MP for I don't know how long and now into GTAO, he isn't one.

-It's just a feature put into GTA: V. It's not a mod and you aren't a modder.

(1) Ignorant of modding/cheating or modders/cheaters

(2) Confusing the two
