Create a new Microsoft Account

Hi, quick question, is it possible to make a Microsoft account using only a personal gmail account and not have an outlook email attached to it?

Good question. Yes, of course. Just make sure that the gmail account is not yet attached to a gamertag and that should work. When you create a Microsoft account, you can use any email address as the user name, including addresses from Outlook.com, Yahoo! or Gmail.

So I don't need an outlook alias attached to the account at all and it will function fully?

When I created my Microsoft account it didn't link to my Xbox Live account and it created a new one. How can I get rid of this new xbox account and link my old one?

The Microsoft account is also an Xbox account.

If you want to create a new Xbox account, it's only possible to create a new Microsoft account.

create a new microsoft account but dont sign in xbox live click your old account and push the button that says change microsoft account to the new microsoft account you created
