    Crazy Weird Xbox OTA antenna interference 2020


    Have two tvs. One connected to xbox one s. The other watched by someone else using ota antenna. Both in the same room. No cable, no sattelite.



    When I play some games, fallout 4, outer worlds, elder scrolls channel 64.1 drops out. ONLY channel 64.1. You can watch the signal bar go to zero once the game loads completely and you begin to play. Exit the game and the signal bar jumps to 4 bars and holds
    steady. I have repeated this 10 out of 10 times no fails.



    This doesnt happen when I turn xbox on. Doesn’t happen when tv only is turned on. Doesn’t happen when tv and xbox are turned on. Only when
    certain games are running. The xbox is isolated on its own power strip on a different breaker from the tv using the ota antenna. I have disconnected the xbox from internet and the problem still occurs without fail.



    I can play Diablo 3 and have no issue. But all Bethesda games Skyrim, Elder Scrolls, Fallout 4, Fallout 3 cause this problem. So Obsidian and Bethesda. What kind of signal are the games emmiting when loaded? What the heck is going on?

    Same issue this AM on both of my xbox one. Onsoles. They both have separate OTA antennas, so it is likely a flwed update got pushed last nivht.

    Same thing here in OK. Microsoft discontinued support for OTA EPG for Windows Media Center on Jan 30 2020 (my OTA DVR machine). Today, i lost my OTA EPG (Oneguide) on Xbox One. I wonder if they were using the same contract with Rovi. Hope they bring it back!

    Sorry, yes that was implied the Xbox One is the replacement for MC. There have been a few discussions after they announced they would discontinue MC and move that function to the Xbox. With that said to get the OTA channels you will also need an OTA adaptor.

    This is ridiculous. MS and XBOX need to get the OTA / Terrestrial TV situation done. I am already doing it with 3rd party stuff right now, but it would so nice to have it integrated with native hardware. GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF!!! Screw cable/sat TV, they
    are a dying breed and online/antenna will take over in the next couple years. OTA DTV has more bandwidth then anyone realizes and could easily offer 300 channels.
