Crashes on unsuspend since June update

I have instant on enabled. Since the June update about 1/3 times when I turn the console on (usually with a remote control) it will light up for a second and then it just turns off (very abruptly, the hard drives makes a clunking noise). I then have to
turn it on by pressing the button on the front and the console will go through the full start up sequence.

May 2014 Update didn't fix this. Hoping maybe the June update will since it will have the universal remote on Smartglass

Ok, a clunking noise is not good. I would register your Xbox here. myservice.xbox.com/.../Welcome.aspx and get your console serviced. What your Xbox is doing is not normal
and you should get it serviced soon. The turn around can take 10 to 18 days.

I don't think this is a hardware issue, the clunk/squeak sounds like the noise a hard drive normally makes when you power it off abruptly.

On further investigation the crashes only happen on resume if the TV app is running when I suspend the console. I'm passing a HDMI switch into the HDMI input and I've found out I can reliably crash the console if I change inputs whilst the console is resuming
(input automatically changes when a device plugged into the switch is powered on, hence the 1/3 random crashes I've been seeing).

Having figured out it's TV related I looked for other posts. The problem is almost identical to:

i strongly suggest dedicated servers!!! ......... they make enough money to have dedicated servers!!!

This is what happens when you divide the player base according to how much money you have paid to activision to buy their map packs. San Diego is now in the same locale as New Zealand, UK, Japan etc. just cause I have not bought any map packs and there are
not as many players for matchmaking. Looks like the aliens on Mars and Jupiter are part of the COD universe now.

Probably just "bandwidth" being eaten up by people downloading the update. It should pass.
