crashes every time i start it up, after the new update with clubs and such

before the update the main xbox app never froze and crashed like this. when clubs came it doesn't wanna work anymore. i tried the powershell uninstalling and a lot of other stuff and 0 luck

Club Settings Error

Hi,

I'm having trouble with my club settings. Members started complaining they couldn't start club parties anymore so I went and changed the settings so that members can post and start club parties and it seems that every time I exit after changing them they
all clear back to default with nothing selected....this is getting very frustrating, is something up with clubs atm?

Any help would be appreciated.

Taptile and all xbox games

windows 8.1, hp laptop. every time I start taptile or any other xbox app game crash. after starts loading, and then go back to desk top. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times with any success of fixing the problem. They ran fine up to a week ago
or last window update. And suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

 

I started having this exact issue after I came home from a short weekend away, so I suppose my app updated while I was away? It's the only explanation for why it was working last week, and now, once I'm gone, it's suddenly not working.

I've even tried the exact same thing as you; tried the PowerShell uninstall, reinstalled it from Store, and still nothing. Tried the Xbox Beta app, and that crashes immediately as well.

I'd really like to know how to fix this, considering the app is the only way I seem to have to access some of my games (or, if I can access my games separately, I have no idea how that would impact the ones with a direct connection to Xbox achievements).

 

Since clubs update (and had same issues in beta version) after I launch the app it just freezes forever trying to load the sidebar on the right with friends and clubs (as if I had a million friends and it took ages to load).

Yep I have the same. Installed the update and it just crashes on launch. Shame as I bought my vision 8 windows tablet just to use the Xbox streaming feature. Hope there is a fix for the bad update.

 

Is there a specific time it crashes? Is anyone using the beta app? If not, can everyone download the beat app and try again. If the problem still occurs, file a report via the smiley face icon on the left side.

I'm having the same issue it loads for maybe a second then disapears with no notification or error code. Tried the beta app, powershell, etc... and it keeps doing the same thing

 

The new update that just came out seemed to fix it

 

New update did absolutely nothing to fix on my end. Might have something to do with me using an HP Stream 8 with only 32-bit Windows 10. Still, though, no solutions are fixing issue.

 

I'm still having this issue. App works fine on a fresh install of windows 10, however as soon as I update the app crashes immediately when I try to open it.

Installing the beta app does nothing to remedy the issue.

 

I have the same issue fails to open and gives me the following message in event viewer

Activation of application Microsoft.XboxApp_8wekyb3d8bbwe!Microsoft.XboxApp failed with error: The app didn't start. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

 

Same exact error message as Don Jose... Try to start app it flashes green for a split second then spits this out in the app logs.

"Activation of app Microsoft.XboxApp_8wekyb3d8bbwe!Microsoft.XboxApp failed with error: The app didn't start. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information."

 

Exact same problem here. Chatted with support and they claim an update is coming within 24 hours to fix. I'll sit here and hold my breath.
