Discus and support Crackly audio in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I recently purchased a digital copy of "the dark pictures anthology: house of ashes" and have been unable to play it due to the audio being horrible...     I recently purchased a digital copy of "the dark pictures anthology: house of ashes" and have been unable to play it due to the audio being horrible and crackly. I've never had this problem before with any games and the audio is fine with everything else so I know its not my xbox,controller or headphones. Is there anyway I can fix this or do I need to uninstall my copy and buy it on disc?

    Hope you're doing great today despite this Purpledragon96k

    May I know if you tried changing your audio settings?

    Settings > General > Volume & audio output

    If you have selected 5.1 or any audio settings, try changing it to stereo and try again.

    If the issue persists with stereo mode, change it until you cover all the audio settings available for your console.

    Let me know if even testing all your audio settings the issue persists, I'll be waiting for your reply

    Hi josef.

    I changed the headset format from "windows sonic for headphones" to "stero uncompressed" and it got rid of the cracking sounds
