Crackly Audio from Xbox One TV

hi all, has anyone encountered crackly or static-y audio when watching television thru the xbox one? I didn't have the issue at all when plugged directly to my TV but once it's routed thru the Xbox One it comes out sounding really bad at times.

Help?!

Audio problem!!

I just got my xbox 360 s today and set it up properly i believe. I have an old crt tv and a old stereo shelf system. The tv has 3 sets of audio/video inputs and the stereo

has only 1 video output. i play the 360 thru my stereo and all i get is mono sound from the left speaker only and its very crackly. Now if i turn off the stereo and just turn

the tv speakers on everything sounds fine. Sound thru both tv speakers and no crackly hissing sounds. However when I watch my tv thru my stereo everything is fine,

watch a movie, everything is also fine. I had a Wii hooked up the same way and it worked fine thru my stereo speakers. So i unfor do not know what could be the

issue?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

xbox audio doesn't go out from dvd reader

Hi all!

I have my tv connected to a dvd reader with RCA cable as audio producer and my xbox one connected to tv with HDMI.

When I use only tv, audio go out from dvd reader but when i turn up xbox one, audio does not go out from dvd reader but from TV!

How can I fix it?

Have you tried to place the hdmi cable back in the television to see if the sound is okay?! That would rule the cable itself out. Then if that is okay could you try a different device (Xbox 360, dvd player, freeview box etc) in the hdmi port of the X1 to
see if it is the actual port of the X1 itself. That would be my goal to rule out if the X1 had a problem.

 

Ok, bringing this back up since I've been tirelessly trying to fix this. Replaced the cables and it's still being lame. I'm wondering if it might be my television now.. But I feel like it's not!

A hard reset usually worked for me. I also only noticed it on Dolby. Since the April patch I have not experienced this, but now my 5.1 is not working. :sigh:

 

Interesting, I'll try to reconfigure the settings, but still bummed the crackle seems to only happen on certain channels..

 

still having issues, has anyone experienced a faulty hdmi port on their xbox one? mine seems to be the TV to XBOX one, as the audio coming in has all the crackling..

 

G'day Macabre! It looks like that TV has 3 HDMI ports, according to your link. Have you tried plugging your console into a different port on the side of the TV to see if the crackling continues?

 

I actually plugged in my PS4 thru and on the same port, and no static / crackle. I'm suspecting now it's either my set up on the Xbox, or the Cable box itself? It's kind of a tricky one now..

 

I've gotten the crackly sound a couple times in the TV app, but have noticed it a few times when switching to MGS and TitanFall. Usually a reseating the power fixes it for a few days.
