    Hello, I just acquired a new elite controller and when I plug a headset on, my microphone is crackling. While with my old elite controller, there is no crackling.

    Constant Audio Crackling

    I have yet to figure out how to use this website, so I figured I would send out this post to get some already-spoken answers, seeing as my patience has been worn...anyone having constant audio crackling during gameplay that sounds like someone has their
    microphone up way too loud? or is it a glitch? if so will it be fixed?

    Popping/Crackling Sound From Friend's Xbox One Headset

    For the past few days now my friend's headset microphone (the original one that comes with the console) has been making this crackling static-like sound and we don't know why. It's differently his mic, I have heard it coming through my own headset and TV.
    It also stopped when he used the Kinetic to talk and not his headset. Any help with fixing this?

    Hiya!

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist, it sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the microphone crackling on the Xbox App. Is this the app on your phone or PC? If this is on the PC please check under your PC's settings and do a sound test
    on the microphone to verify that there is no crackling on that microphone.

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having a crackling sound in parties with your Xbox Live Parties on Windows 10. Are you using a headset or your computers speakers and Microphone? Have you tried uninstalling
    and reinstalling the app itself? When you use your headset plugged in to your phone does it crackle? Let us know with a reply how it goes.
