Cracked Controller Button inside and damaged "cable slot"

I think repairs of controllers apart from warranty repairs is no longer offered by Microsoft however as your controller is one of the limited edition ones it may be worth checking on the
Service Centre webpage to see if it will allow you to create a service request. To try creating the request select your Xbox One console in the list of devices then select accessories from
the pull down list.

Is the end of the cable damaged at all (the metal part that goes into the controller) or is there any damage inside the port on the controller? Also have you tried updating your controller?

Would Highly recommend testing it on a second controller if you still have the cracking noise it may be the headset cable is beginning to fray inside the plastic cover or some how something is causing a connection issue inside the controllers headphone
jack.

Hey they issue could be with the remote its self. if you have a keyboard for a pc you can see if this is to do with the xbox by plugging they keyboard into one of the usb slots and using the arrow keys to navigate, windows as the home button and enter
as the a button. esc is your back key. this will help to get to your device settings once there look for your controller and then see if you can make it vibrate three times if that works open a game and test each button if it still doesnt work try restarting
the controller or resyncing it to the xbox if that still doesnt work the controller could be damaged. By shaking the controller gently you can hear if there are loose parts. Another way to test if the controller is damaged is to use either a desktop pc or
another xbox to use the controller. on a desktop pc plug a micro usb cable into your controller and the other end into a usb slot on a pc/laptop/notebook open a installed game or download a free one of the store and test the malfunctioning buttons if they
dont work then the remote is unfunctional.
