Discus and support Cox Contour (Record 6) Receiver Issues in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; this isn't really a solution but if you connect the cable box to the tv only and get that working..and then go back and reconnect the xbox it seems to...     this isn't really a solution but if you connect the cable box to the tv only and get that working..and then go back and reconnect the xbox it seems to work with no rebooting needed

  5. Same problems here. Xbox crashes with the Cisco 9865hdc. Tries to reboot and freezes up and crashes again. Reconnect everything individually to the TV and all works fine. Just can't use the TV features of my xbox one. Kind of a bummer. Anybody found any
    solutions yet?

    I'd be curious to know what cable box code is being used... Setup gave me c1877, but I kept getting a guide info box I had to manually close. So I changed it to c0877 and that worked better...Things do seem better , However last night I was getting only
    tv sound and had reboot everything to get the tv signal up again.

    Hey, thnk2win! Sorry this issue popped up. I see you have done troubleshooting and helped each other out. One thing to try is simply quitting the TV App.

    • Hit the Menu button on the app
    • Select Quit
    Relaunch the app and it should work for you. I got your information about your set top box and provider just in case this doesn't work. Let me know if this helps out that HDCP error.

    If anyone else is getting the HDCP error, try out the above steps, and then get back to me with your set top box model information and your cable provider! I need as much info I can get to help you guys out.

    Yeah I had tried that too. The HDCP error isn't the real issue of this thread, it's a perhaps related side effect noticed along the way. It is not consistent like the issue described in this post that persists.

    I ended up stopping the use of xbox as a TV pass through until update(s) are done to address this. It simply doesn't work reliably. Shame.

    I now too am getting the HDCP error..... cox cable and Cisco 9865hdc..... I just tried the app menu and then quit... then restarted TV app and it seemed to work. I do hope this isn't a permanent way of having to get into Live TV. Everything was running
    great up to a couple of weeks ago and now this...It is very disappointing.

    My Xbox One is connected to my primary TV and is primarily used for watching TV. So this error has occurred seconds after "Xbox on" and is seen in the middle last used app box... for the first second I see the tv running as usual then the error box pops
    up and I have no picture and only sound.

    Same issue. I just replied to another thread because I didnt see this one.. Figured out how to get it working but it comes back every day... major pain... Hopefully they can fix asap.

    I just had to search out this issue as well. I am getting the exact same thing. What I found that works to reset the HDMI is >Settings>Display and Sounds> change input back and forth between auto and hmdi>then going into the TV app, usually will bring back
    the TV picture... That or a hard boot of the xbox one. I have not tried quitting the TV app, I will try that next time. Started happening with the latest July update, before, never had this issue..

    Also, resetting just the cable box doesn't work. I have to change/reset the Xbox for the TV to come back.

    Cable Provider: Cox Communications

    Cable box: Contour 6 (Cisco 9865HDC)

    Here is the message on the TV screen: then screen goes black but you can still hear audio..

  14. Just an update. The last time this happened, I closed out of the TV App like Misses Quinzel said. I have not had the HDCP error since...
