cover arts won't load only the xbox live cover is showed up

I have this problem from time to time and it usually cures itself after a while, sometimes with a system update. However, I thought I would toss in my similar issue of no cover art loading for Plants vs. Zombies which was recently downloaded through Games
With Gold. After clearing my cache, re-updating many a game, it is still the only cover art out of 52 in my digital collection that will not appear.

I'm also having this issue. First it started with some games showing the generic xbox live covert art with green swirl while other games' art loads up fine. Clearing the system cache may it somewhat worse as now instead of the generic cover art, I get
the missing art icon on some games but not others. Also after clearing system cache, the missing cover art is on different games than before where as it used to have cover art. I don't think its related to delisted games because the games showing missing
cover art are still being sold such as ducktales:remastered and castle crashers.

It's about time Microsoft sorted this out and stored the cover art locally on the console.I expect cover-art online and offline.Its disgusting that Microsoft are making us think they are doing us a favour by giving us cover-art.

Does the cover-art show up when Xbox One is offline ?

 

Same here, no cover in AC IV Black Flag, World of Tanks, F1 2013...

 

It's actually an Xbox Live issue that causes this problem. There is nothing that can be done, but wait until Microsoft fix it.

 

Hey, guys! I've checked all the titles you have listed in here, and we're seeing them just fine on our end.

I have a few questions and troubleshooting steps so that we can nail this one down.

First, do any of you happen to be in the preview program for the 360?

Second, are you all able to put the games on another storage device, or delete the content and then redownload it? Does that fix it?

We can start from there. We may need to go into some network troubleshooting, but for now, I want to get the easy items out of the way.

 

As of 9:00 p.m. CST this evening, PvZ cover art is now showing. No changes or updates on my end, so I guess it fixed itself.

1. Not in preview
2. Yes. I am able to transfer to other storage device and the cover art still does not shows. Currently only Ao2C and AC4 having this issue.
   

 

Hello everyone.

I´m in Live BR and facing the same issues related here. As Lord Bane said, I´m not in preview and thus I´m using the latest dash with Live always enabled.

1 - Moving the affected games through different storages does not change the results. Already tried that.

2 - Clearing cache, delete and download again the profile, delete and download again the games itself don´t change the scenario: Still that generic live cover art instead of game cover.

3 - Got a chat with Microsoft Brazil Support and among some suggestions, the only one I hadn´t done yet was the LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X combination for rollback updates. Tried that, and the problem still occurs.

4 - For me the affected games are: F1 2013 (downloaded), Thief (downloaded), Resident Evil 1 Remake (downloaded) and Metal Gear 5: Ground Zeroes (installed using game disc).

5 - I got two pics as example of the issue:

6 - Network is also not the problem. All live need ports are open, with all live connection tests sucessfully done. Besides, everything is OK despite the cover art problem.

7 - My guess: It cannot be an issue at user side. And since I´m in Live Brazil, it looks like the problem is not restricted to US.

I am very much hoping the MS Support team read this!

I too have had this problem with the XBOX LIVE generic box art showing fro 2 games in my library. Games are AC4 Black Flag & Resident Evil Revelations.

About a week or so ago, I contacted MS Support ia the CHAT function. Gave an indepth explanation as to what my problem is: Spoke to Josh & Trey @ MS Support on two seperate occasions & was given a case number: MS Support eat your heart out "1296316942"

After trying many suggestions MS Support gave me (ranging from deleting cache/re downloading games/new dashboard update/factory reset/ etc etc) my problem still persists. I believe all this started when the new dashboard was released not too long ago.

The support team said it might be do do with the developer UBISOFT & CAPCOM. Their box art for these games must not be up on their own sites!? Anyhow, I cannot see how that is the problem as the box art is pulled off from LIVE from viewing via the G.O.D
Store to downloading from the Store.

Also, If I PIN the said games to My Pins folder, upon going into My Pins on the first page of the dashboard, the box art displays perfectly! But does not wish to show in My Games.

Also, If I eject the RE: Revelations disc, the game will dissappear from My Games (which is normal), but once I reinsert revelations disc & close the tray, quickly go to My Games before the disc is read, when the game pops up in My Games, it is with the
XBOX LIVE Generic box art!!!! How is that possible??? Upon inserting a game disc & going into My Games, you should be presented with the game along with its correct box art, not the generic one?!!! How odd!!!

Xbox Support said they have sent an email to CAPCOM & UBISOFT to find out if their box art is displaying. I am doubtful that is most likely the problem. I am no technician, but believe the problem lies with XBOX LIVE/Severs.

Hoping XBOX Support have read this, please check out the case number provided & please bring this to the attention of many of your staff, someone must know what is causing this.

I understand the game works as It should, but it is the principle of the matter. Prior/Upon purchase, the box art show in the store & hence should show in My Games list.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who may shed light on this annoying little matter.

I still have the problem as well. And according another forums, including non-english, the problem seems to be well diffuse. I tried all things too; It has to be an issue with the current dashboard or something XBL server related.

The odd is why it happens with just some specific games and not all. Anyway, despite of not being a problem in order to play the game, this issue is a cosmetic disaster. Really looking forward to see this fixed in next system update.

Agree mate. The new dashboard is the problem. Even though it is purely cosmetic, it still should be fixed.

I am still awaiting the Xbox Support team to read this post & post a reply.

 

I have this issue, and clearing cache three times in a row does fix it for some title covers. Of course it's a matter of time before they revert to generic XBOX LIVE covers, in which case I clear it again on all my storage devices three times in a row.

 

Irixion is correct on this issue, I just cleared the system cache 3 times as well, and all the affected games have now reverted back to it's proper cover artwork.

 

I´ve cleared the cache countless times and nothing changed; I´ve even done a system rollback with no luck. So for me it´s not that simple as cache related.
