cousins account has been deleted out of nowhere

so today my cousin decided to reset his computer but when he tried to login with his Microsoft account it said that it didn't exist. i have been trying to help him for an hour now and the only thing I'm sure about is that it has been deleted

I have ended up creating a new account for him but he doesn't have any of his stuff like Minecraft (with the merging cap thing), sea of thieves (end the data) and the data for his forza 5 (he bought it on steam)

i think Microsoft might be able to see his data still because i can still view his xbox profile there is just no way to access it

what do I do to get all his stuff back?

I have tried to find it but its a bit hard. So far i have only reached automated support

I think it's a too specific problem.

I think the people at Microsoft (or your team?) needs to go get the data from his old account (the one that got deleted out of nowhere after the computer reset) and just replace it with the data on the new one. (the one I created for him with the same email in an attempt to get his stuff back)

maybe this isn't a problem for Xbox specifically but for Microsoft in general.

he did or well i did for him when he signs in using the Microsoft account with the email from before it was deleted it said it didn't exist so I tried creating a new Microsoft account using the same email end then every thing was gone it med him create a new xbox profile
