couple of questons about selling xbox360 and switching to xbox one.

I'm selling my xbox 360 a week before I'm getting my xbox one.What do I need to do about my account? Is it connected to that particuler 360 console and what do I need to do before I sell that 360 console to someone I don't know? I want to keep my account
and just switch it to the xbox one I'm getting,but I'm confused about how selling my 360 a week before I get my xbox one is going to dictate what I need to do to keep my original account.Could someone tell me what I need to do and what order I need to do
it.Again,I want to take my account off of the 360 I'm selling and move it to a xbox one that I am buying.The monkey wrench in that simple process is that I am selling the xbox 360 a week before a get my new xbox one.Thanks

stop selling xbox360 then if xbox live is not available in estonia -.-

 

backup any saves to the cloud, format the 360 and thats it, when you get the xbox one just sign in with the email and password for your live account.

 

I'm not sure why you assumed this would be a complicated process. You just login with your email and password. Would probably be a good idea to delete your gamer tag from your 360 before you sell it as well.

 

thanks guys,I just thought my account was connected or "assigned" to my particular 360 console.So do I understand you right that once I sell my 360 console.My account isn't going to follow that console to the new owners.

 

As mentioned,any 360 saves you want to keep upload to the cloud (you need gold to do this on the 360) & then format your hard drive(under "storage" in console settings) that will wipe everything,incuding any personal info,from your hard drive.

Once you get your xbox one there will be a mandatory update then you'll be asked for the email & password linked to your account which will download & log you in with the same account you had on the 360.

 

Like I said, delete your gamertag from your 360 before you sell it.

 

Looks like everyone has it covered. Mainly save story mode game save to the cloud. Also delete HDD of everything. Don't need the next user tapping into your billing info. Not only HDD but you might have a built in memory card as well delete that too.
That might have a sign in feature saved as well. Built in memory card is the arcade version 360. Also if your buying XBOX1 put some money aside and be ready to buy external HDD.

 

Also if you don't buy XBOX1 immediately. At least click games with gold 360 games at xbox.com so you don't miss out on them for backward compatibility.

 

All you need to do is delete your gamertag.
