Couple of questions about the Xbox One..

Haha ok this thread went on a strange tangent.

Haven't tried but if you highlight the disc square on the home screen (bottom right corner) and press the menu button, does a list come up with eject on it? I'm at work so can't check but that seems like the most logical place it'd be.

As for external HDD, hopefully soon as I think its a great option. Hand for taking digital games to friends without having to DL the game again.

LOL Wow, you really got me there. Could you do me a favor through and go back and quote the part where I said "chrome is incapable of getting fingerprints". Because I can't seem to find it. But no way would you claim someone said something they didn't, and
in the same paragraph, call someone else an idiot. That would just be...ironic.

Now, if it were a big flat chrome surface, obviously finger prints would need to be expected. But it is neither big, nor flat. Not sure where these finger prints could possibly be. But hey, at least you got me with that other thing, right chief? lol

It does not. I just checked.

  4. Couple of questions about the Xbox One..

"I've touched my eject button at least 20 times since the last time I wiped down my console. Your well lit room has nothing on my mini mag light and magnifying glass.
That button is simply not capable of retaining a print, or I would see it."

That button so happens to be made of chrome/a plastic chrome finish. Fact. Saying that the button (which is made with a chrome finish) is not capable of retaining a print insinuates that the chrome (the material it is finished with), is incapable of retaining
a fingerprint. In reality, quite the opposite is true. For people that use hand lotion, oily soaps, etc., it is not only possible, but very likely that something with a chrome finish would retain a fingerprint.

But hey, at least you admitted to being a jerk. the first step to solving a problem is admitting it.

You're reaching chief. I say chihuahua won't grow to be 100lbs. According to you, I guess that equates to me saying that no dogs can grow to be over 100lbs? Come on now, use some sense. Of course chrome can retain finger prints. Assuming it's large and flat
enough. The eject button is neither. Even attempting to imply that I said otherwise is rather weak. As far as lotion goes, how you spend your free time is your business. I don't need to know about it. But if your getting grabby with your console after that,
well that's an other matter entirely.

Edit: Oh and by the way, you must be new here. Me being a jerk is no secret to anyone. lol

  7. So witty, aren't we? Here's the fact of the matter: the button is at least large enough for a finger to touch. Because it's meant to be used with a finger. So saying that it is not large enough to retain a fingerprint is yet another idiotic thing to say.
I was playing it nice at first, but you're dead set on being a jerk. Why someone would feel compelled to act in such a way is beyond me, save for being unfulfilled in other areas of their life. Instead of spending time on these forums, I'd be glad to direct
    you to some self-help resources.

Pro tip: just because you have a crappy life, doesn't mean you should try and pass it on to others. Maybe if you were working proactively towards bettering your life, you wouldn't feel so compelled to be such a d!ck to a complete stranger for no apparent
    reason.

  8. Couple of questions about the Xbox One..

I used to think the same thing - why couldn't I use a voice command to eject the disc?

...and then someone mentioned that I would still have to get up to remove the disc anyways. My reaction?

    Oh. Yeah...

It's a great console but, as with all electrical items, it's also a dust magnet which scratches remarkably easily so the state of my eject button is the least of my worries.

  12. @tohellnback, Yep you did... lol

@Pyro, I'm a bit obsessive about washing my hands (suppressed immune system) and use a lot of lotion to keep them from drying out so I can at least appreciate that part of it. Here's a little trick I learned that keeps any shiny/chrome buttons from getting
fingerprints. I flip my hand over so that the fingernail touches the button rather than my finger tip. The X1's eject button is a capacitive touch, so you barely have to touch it. I wipe my console down regularly to keep dust off it, but I haven't touched
the recessed area where the eject button is yet... and I just checked, it doesn't have a mark on it. Worth a try.

    Couple questions about the One

Derp! Thank you Doc. I shoulda told my Xbox to record that when I derped hard on Max earlier. I really like it, but damn do I derp it sometimes lol.

I don't really mind the random recordings. I just wanted to make sure a ghost wasn't whispering Xbox record that to my Kinect. Where do you disable it?

I definitely agree with number 3! I just can't see myself without it. Voice commands are way too fun haha.

    Couple questions about the One

1st. Yes press the menu button AKA Start button on the app to close it. Also, yes quick resume will resume your gane exactly where you left off the last time the game was in. Same for some apps.

2nd. Yes you can disable random recordings, but at the cost of you saying "record that". They are working on this

3rd. Yes the Kinect 2.0 is amazing Defy Lightning. I couldn't imagine the Xbox One without it.

Well, it used to be under preferences. But i can not seem to find it. I believe they moved it in the recent update preview. I apologize, I can not find it.
