Country/ Region Download Code Question

Apologies if b) this has been asked before (I've looked around and can't see it asked elsewhere) or b) I've posted this in the wrong place (mods please feel free to move it).

Although from the UK originally I live in Canada and recently purchased the Assassins Creed Xbox One Bundle in the Black Friday sales. It comes with both Unity and Black Flag from the series in the form of download codes. I've downloaded Unity and (besides
the glitches) I'm enjoying it but I already own Black Flag on the PS4 and was wondering if I could give the (Canadian?) download code to a friend in the UK? I've no idea if download codes are region locked or even if it is legal? I could just let my friend
try the code but if it didn't work would it lock it so to speak? If it doesn't work for my friend in the UK then I would rather someone here in Canada got some use out of it than it be invalid. I see people offering the codes for sale here in Canada but have
no wish to sell the code for money.

If what I'm asking is against the terms and conditions then I will do nothing with it.

Are you getting an 8 digit error code?

How much downloads before it stops (%)?

Which region (country) is your gamertag set to?

Which region (country) do you live in?

 

Cant download Call of Duty Map Packs

with most recent cod map packs the region and actual region must match

if you do not live in an xbox live country you may not download it

 

If you give it to your friend he will have no issues using the code.
