Countdown to Gamescom 2014

With next big gaming conference only 2 days away, I am really for some BIG surprise announcements out of the Microsoft camp this time. E3 was easily forgettable and I keep seeing more and more PS4 "exclusives" or "Ps4 first/extra content" etc...What happened
to the Xbox 360's momentum since the debacle of E3 2013 is slowly getting worse every month it seems. Instead of offering extra bundles and price cuts with an extra game, how about putting up some of that billion dollar buying power and start playing the exclusivity
game themselves. I love my Xbox One (although the latest constant preview updates have been making it sluggish at times), I really want to see us getting the love back on the same playing field.

Surprise us Microsoft!!

Did you not see E3 2014? There are well over 100+ great games coming to the Xbox One and many of them ARE exclusives! Not only that, but well over half of the games Sony showed are ALSO coming to the Xbox One as multiplatform titles (they just neglect to
mention that fact in an attempt to get an edge). Go to the forum directory and look up the forum for E3 2014 (or do a quick search) - there you'll find a thread called "The Games and Other Things You May Have Missed" I made that listed most of those games
(complete with links to videos). I'd post the link here for you, but my PC is currently broken and I'm using the IE app on my XB1, where I can't simply copy and paste. :|

 

I enjoyed E3 2014. And there are tons of games coming as well as exclusive content on XB1 first. I will agree with one thing you said, use some of that billion dollar buying power. I would pick up a struggling (or not) studio. Make it a subsidiary of
Microsoft Game Studios. (CryTek, Remedy, MistWalker) to name a few.

But there is more to it than just waving money around. First they have to want to sell. And that Billion Dollars is not all for Xbox. Microsoft makes tons of products that uses that money too.

November 22nd 2014-Xbox one Day one edition + Fifa 14 or Forza 5 (free) in Europe.

February 2014- Microsoft buy Gears of war IP.

March 2014 - Xbox one + Titanfall (free)

E3 2014 -Games exclusives- Halo Master Chief collection,Project spark,Forza Horizon 2,Sunset Overdrive,Ori & the blind forest.DLC first on Xbox-COD,Dragon age,Evolve,The Division,....

Future exclusive games-Quantum break,Fable legends,Crackdown,Phantom dust,Gears of war,Below,....

And i must have miss 2-3 things.....

I'm referring to the E3 team and the horrbile job and producing this box with old tech to save money. We have some great exclusives that came at launch yes. I mean I still think Ryse is THE BEST looking game to date but it's lack re-playability and support
from gamers buying it is making Crytek not interested in making the sequel right now.

My issue is with the most of the exclusive games this year are mostly INDIE games...maybe I'm just being picky but I'm really getting tired of getting 8-bit renditions or mobile type games and being expected to pay AAA type pricing for a gmae that holds
little interest other than maybe a casual or weekend play through. It seems although they did start getting the right people in charge of the divsion and get rid of the cancer (Go F... yourself Mattrick), but they aren't really getting the support from the
shareholders it seems with willing to spend on exclusivity like the recent events that keep rolling out. COD maps first cannot compete with Destiny and Assassin's Creed having exclusive ONLY content. That's what I am hoping for this week as I will be watching
the event live on my Xbox One. Cannot wait!

 

And I know about the "usual suspects" of the 2013 and this year's E3, I'm not an Xbox noob of course...going on my 11th year of Xbox Live. Just want to see this brand continue to not only dominate like in the 360 era but to keep innovating like they do in
the PC and tablet markets.

Insomniac,Remedy are indie devs (same as Crytek),but developes AAA titles (Sunset Overdrive,Ryse,Quantum break)....

Or maybe you consider Microsoft as an indie,too....But most games they makes and (or) publish are AAA titles (Forza,Halo,Gears of war,Fable,....)

Destiny got just 1 time exclusive DLC (which include 1 mission,1 PvP map,ect....),no big deal and will be release in a year or less...

Assassin Creed Unity ???

Seems you missed what i wrote,Evolve beta only on Xbox/DLC first,Dragon age DLC first,The Division DLC first,Fifa got exclusive stuffs too,ect....

Agree to disagree..I didn't say there weren't a ton of sequels coming out. I'm just getting sick of hearing about the whole "ID@Xbox" hype. Let's just see if they have more surprises up their sleeves...or maybe they'll hire me after I get out of the military
in year or two and I can bring some backbone to the Microsoft power brand.

Hell, maybe they'll announce XSN Sports again or Links...now I'm know I'm just wishful thinking lol.

 

And 360 dominate nothing last gen....360 wasn't the most powerful console and it wasn't the most sold console,last gen.

 

1st off, the 360 is ahead of the main competition in sales to date. Does anyone truly believe the Wii was relevant? It sold outstanding, because every retirement home owned a few to keep the elderly active. But no one wanted to make games for it.

2nd, it may have not been the most powerful, but it was undisputedly the most evolved and most convenient for gaming and community aspects. Which made it the best place for gaming.

Dominate? Maybe not the best word. The it was definitely the best place to game. I don't think that is even disputable. Do you Tzar?

 

And @ Dwoope33. I am no Indie Gamer myself, but for some reason, people really are into indie games, if I wanted 16bit graphics and side scrolling titles, I'd pick up a Sega Genesis. (Granted there are some good ones, with solid graphics). But anyways,
they have to keep up with what the competition is doing. And users are really into Indies. I am for whatever helps the Xbox and the Xbox community grow and evolve.

 

Excited to see Scalebound and Quantum Break at Gamescom.

 

I hope we hear about the new Gears of War game!
