    Sometimes, but not always, when I go to record a game clip and occasionally a screenshot on my Xbox One console, after saying "captured" or "recorded" another message will pop up saying "Couldn't upload capture to Xbox live..."

    I don't understand because I have a 1TB with less than half of the memory used. So I have plenty of physical space, why can't it upload to live?

    And again, sometime it uploads, sometimes it doesn't. It likes to choose when it wants to give me this error message.

    All that being said, I thought that Xbox live clears old captures after so long, and it so far has proven to do that. I even went and deleted a bunch of old captures from my Xbox, but it still does it.

    Also, when I try to go to my game DVR, it will not load. It's not just like it takes minutes to load, it DOES NOT load. Ever. The only way I can get to my captures is by going to my profile. SO, I can only delete/manage the captures that were successfully
    uploaded. But the ones just hanging out on my Xbox somewhere that don't get uploaded, I have no access to.

    Please let me know if anyone else has either of these issues and/or knows how to fix them.

    Game DVR captures don't upload to Xbox live

    For the past 3 days I haven't been able to capture something without getting "Couldn't upload to Xbox Live Remove captures to free up space" I have literally deleted every single capture on Xbox Live and on my console. I have tried every single solution
    I have seen. If anyone has a fix for this, please tell me!

    Help, all my local captures have disappeared.

    There is an app called upload studio. Are your captures and screenshots still there at least?
    Once in the Upload Studio:

    1. Open the guide > Broadcast & capture > Capture > Manage Captures.
    2. The default filter shows everything already published on Xbox Live.

      To see clips you’ve captured but not yet uploaded, select the filter On Xbox Live and choose On this Xbox.

    Go to the App Store, or Google Play and download the Xbox app. You can then upload your game captures to Xbox Live, then use the mobile Xbox App to download your captures after they're uploaded to Xbox Live. You can also click on the share options for
    your captures and upload them to Onedrive and use the mobile Onedrive App to download to your phone.

    which xbox app? i know there's a new app but i can't find the option to upload captures to xbox live using it, the one that is for game pass, i can only upload captures using the xbox console companion but as i said there are a few games that i can't upload

    What you need to do is copy your captures to the captures folder on Windows 10, should be in your videos folder. Then launch the Xbox app, select captures, then select this pc, and your captures should be listed, select the capture you want to upload, and
    give it a name, and choose the game it's for, and select upload. Once it is uploaded it will take a few hours to go on the xbox live feed.

    Game pics/captures that haven’t had any views or engagement may be deleted at some point, you might want to back up your pics. If you wish to keep certain captures permanently, You should save them to OneDrive or an external drive for example. I will list the steps below regarding this matter. Also if you have reached capacity for storage of captures on Xbox Live, it will delete the oldest ones first to make room for the new ones uploaded.

    To back up your pics/ capture you need to:

    Upload captures from Xbox Live to OneDrive from your console

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then go to Broadcast & capture.
    2. Select Recent captures > See All.
    3. Select the list view button on the right to display your captures in a list.
    4. Select the check box next to the captures you want to upload.
    5. Select the Upload to OneDrive button to begin uploading.
    Upload captures from Xbox Live to Google Drive from your PC

    1. Open the Xbox app on your PC.
    2. Sign in to the app using your Microsoft account.
    3. Select the Captures icon on the left menu panel.
    4. Select On Xbox Live to view captures you’ve uploaded to Xbox Live.
    5. Select the Download button to download the captures locally to your PC. These will be stored in the Videos folder on your C drive.
    6. Upload your local files to Google Drive or another storage location
