Couldn't renew Xbox Live until it lapsed, now my account balance is gone...

So my gold account was up for re-renewal Nov 1st. I assumed it would auto-renew like it has for the last ten years, but got an e mail warning me it was about to lapse a few days before the end of October. I tried to re-new through the Xbox marketplace
on my Xbox one and it kept saying it was having an error. Tried to used the Xbox website and again, kept giving me errors. Got busy with work and school and tried to renew a few days later on the second of November. After trying to register a new card (thanks
Microsoft not not listing any Canadian provinces, even though you ask for a postal code) so it is impossible to add any new forms of payment to my account. Finally after a dozen or so attempts it renewed my account.

Now my balance of over about 50 CAD is gone, can i get a little help?

hi, I have an outstanding balance on my account, I can't renew my xbox live until it has been paid. Does anyone know how to pay it please?

I can't renew my xbox live. I haven't payed it. and I'm trying to renew it. its in a renew after 1 month setting and i can't turn off auto renewal now becuase of a unpayed balance. I'm tryna get 3 months right now. so it won't randomly shut down my xbox
live access.

Why would there be a balance owed? If the payment instrument (credit card) was cancelled by the subscriber and the pre-paid subscription lapsed and couldn't be renewed (invalid card); I'm wondering why there would be any balanced owed? Even if auto renewal
was still on yet the card was not valid, the subscribers account should merely be demoted from Gold/Silver to free until such time they re-add or purchase a new subscription.

Did you cancel the Xbox live gold before the renewal date? If not, you there will be a balance will be added to your account and your Xbox gold will be cancel until you pay the balance.

Have you recently renewed your Xbox Live subscription after a brief lapse? If your subscription lapsed at all, sometimes your tenure may not update properly until your next billing anniversary. Keep an eye out on changes to your tenure and let us know
