Could Xbox One boot to the TV app in full screen?

I can't believe this hasn't been worked out yet. Same as above - if the One could boot right to the TV, this would solve so many issues. Please get on this!

 

It'seems pretty clear that this isn't happening because MS uses that screen for marketing purposes. If they allow people to turn that off, theyou undermine that channel.

 

Please add this feature! I'm about to unhook this thing from my cable box and just use another HDMI port.

 

I can't believe this still isn't a feature. It's the xbox's biggest flaw. I've personally removed mine from my DVR until such a time I won't need a divorce every time the wife tries to turn on the TV.

 

I'm going to add my voice to the chorus that says that the Xbox should allow you to boot to TV on startup. My wife won't let me plug in the cable box to the Xbox for just that reason.

My second suggestion (as long as your listening) is that you really should allow people to upload their own music to the Xbox. I am never going to use the Xbox Music service. If you want the XBox One to be a full multimedia center, not allowing people
to put in their own music is really killing that reality. I know that you can stream music from a computer. But that's another level of complexity that is completely unnecessary and besides, I have a MAC at home so it's not possible.

 

I too would love this option. A simple IR command to launch the TV app, and Logitech could simply add it to their Harmony profile for the Xbox One.

 

Really really need this feature MS, my wife won't be buying anything so she doesn't need to see any forced on us adverts. Just straight to the TV or else we are going to have to disconnect the pass through (she hates it at the Mo)

 

I have to second this. My 7 year old has figured it out, but my wife not so much.

 

Come on Microsoft , surely this is an easy win to code, all you need is a setting in TV Settings a checkbox to start in TV full screen when turned on. PLeaseeeeeeeeeeeeee Microsoft !!!

 

I'll jump on board. Maybe it would reduce chance of losing signal or reverting cable box to 480p if it just needs to wake up to full screen tv. I pretty much have to ho.into cable box settinhs and switch back to 720p every time. Thats not at all convenient.
