Could there be a way to decrease latency between the USA?

I find, with players of Minecraft & Terraria which are not very CPU intense for action like a first person shooter, there is a zillion billion million latency and some players feel less than happy about not being able to see boss battles, blocks not loading,
falling through maps, etc.

I was wondering what grade A shooter titles do to keep players in sync, and maybe we could do that for games that require team work for survival, building, economy. I think at some point Sony, in one of their online MMO's, had awesome latency, fixed it,
but then simply disconnected Europe for cost(?) I know recently Blizzard opened a data center in AU, but even so, that reduced some players from 92fps down to 32 and 12 fps. 12 fps would be better then what we have. So, I know what I'm asking is difficult,
but in most first person shooter games, there seems to be no issue. Even Happy Wars is often better in sync. So, is there some box, or subroutine, or switch we can flip to make the connections of International players more 'solid'?

Would you ever want to run tests of Minecraft and Terraria between players in say New Zealand, Canada, and maybe Germany or Brazil, and see how the connection is, say when fighting Dukefishron, and walking around the Nether?

:)

Connection to XBOX LIVE randomly drops connection

Hi there Halo Skillz FTW! Excellent Gamertag. Could there be a way to decrease latency between the USA? :) Honestly, WiFi connection issues are pretty tough to solve around unless you can decrease the distance and the amount of walls in between the router and the console. You may also use a WiFi repeater, but those
can also cause issues with lag; namely, they can increase the latency a bit. If you're already on the cusp of lagging (250ms is where you will typically drop the connection), this could be an issue.

I'd recommend running a test located at
http://www.pingtest.net
and let us know what the latency is that's it's reporting. If it's high, your best options are to decrease the distance, or run a wired connection. After that, if you're still lagging, then I'd contact your ISP for further assistance.

Weird possible latency issues

Bridging the console through your laptop will increase, not decrease, latency.

The direct connection to the modem, bypassing the router, will decrease latency.

You can confirm this by testing w/ Ping Test check my ping for Ping time when the PC is connected through the router and compare that when the PC is connected directly to the modem.
Please advise both ping times & let us know.

It would also be very helpful if you could do
Win-R |
cmd | ping –f –l 1364 epix.xbox.com in both router and no-router configurations.

High latency/ping on xbox one

I'm happy to hear that latency has decreased, I hope it stays that way.

Minecraft xbox 360 lag

Only way to really decrease the latency would be to host a server closer to where you are in the world. Only downside is that your mate on the other end of the world will need to deal with a lot more latency. I tend to suffer from high latency when I join
a friend in South Africa and we play on South African servers with me living in the Netherlands, which makes gaming with my friends a bit laggy, but sometimes I suck it up just so I can spend time with my friends that are so far away.

Is my internet speed good enough to play Xbox One ?
Is it normal that my latency is that high ?
The test on the xbox is apparently testing against a server in Seatle, USA which is why you are getting high latency.
