Could not download Halo because of account region.

Hi.

This is my current information:

Account region: Singapore ( but on my billing option it shows US.)

Physical region: philippines

Internet Service Provider (ISP): dsl

Content trying to download: halo (Free with Gold). Was also not able to download dishonored before.

Sorry guys i'm a noob about this. The reason I chose us in my billing info is because there is no Philippines in the option.

The same reason why my account is in singapore. I can't donwload halo because of account region restrictions and i know this is the reason. but what can i do if there is no option for my current/physical location?

i have a 1 yr subscription and its going to waste if this problem persists. please help. would really appreciate it. thanks.

@gsouil just because you could download some of the other games doesn't mean it's not region locked

Only triple a titles are sometimes region locked anything with extreme amount of violence or m rating is garenteed to be region locked like halo cod gears etc

For the best experience with xbox live your account region must reflect you're actual region

 

How can i change my country?

well 2 things

jamaica is not a supported xbox live region

if you do not live in a xbox live region you cannot download region locked content like halo reach

so changing the region will not work because you need your physical location must match the region of the account



you cannot change the region of your account once set

 

sorry if you are trying to download region locked content you need to make sure that your account, console, and physical regions all match or you won't be able to download it, there is NO way around it unless they all match.

 

Im having this problem too(also had it with dishonored) I didnt have any problems downloading saints row a few months ago, I have 3 ways to get it.

a) use DNS codes(you might get a permanent ban)(MS support told me to do this :/)

b) create secondary account with gold(use the free 1 month when creating an account) and set that accounts region to your physical country(I dont know if you can get banned with this)

c) set your account region(account migration, not the locale on the console) to your physical region(in this case the Philippines CAUTION you wont be able to play online cuz our country is not an Xbox live supported country.

Im gonna try remembering my accounts region back then cuz I had no problem downloading Saints row

 

looks like creating a second account wont work because the philippines is not XBL supported
