  1. Could my HDMI ports on my TV be damaged if my Xbox One is not showing up on my TV?

I have a Samsung TV with two IN HDMI ports on the back. One port says 1(DVI) and the other just says the number 2. Now, on the back of my Xbox is the same except, one port says HDMI Out (to TV) and the other says HDMI In (From Sat/Cable). I absolutely have no idea which HDMI ports match to make my Xbox show on the TV screen. Do I need a new TV, a new Xbox or a new HDMI cable?

    :)

Could my HDMI ports on my TV be damaged if my Xbox One is not showing up on my TV?

Hi, Trice my name is Jhon, and will be a pleasure help you

Don't jump to conclusions just yet! There are several things to check before assuming your TV or Xbox's HDMI ports are damaged. Here's what you can do:

    Matching Ports:

HDMI Out (to TV) on your Xbox should connect to either HDMI port on your TV. They both should work equally well. The "1(DVI)" label means that port can also accept DVI input, but that's not relevant for your Xbox.

Don't use the HDMI In (From Sat/Cable) port on your Xbox. That's meant for receiving input from other devices like satellite or cable boxes.
    Troubleshooting Steps:

Try Both HDMI Ports: Connect your Xbox's HDMI Out (to TV) to both HDMI ports on your TV (1 and 2) one at a time.

Confirm TV Input: Ensure your TV is set to the correct input source. Look for options like "HDMI 1" or "HDMI 2" depending on which port you used.

Check Cable Connection: Make sure the HDMI cable is securely plugged into both the Xbox and the TV. Try a different HDMI cable if available.

Power Cycle Devices: Turn off both the Xbox and the TV, wait for a few seconds, then turn them back on in the correct order (TV first, then Xbox).

Check Xbox Display Settings: If you can access the Xbox menu on another screen (phone app, PC app), ensure the display settings are correct. Look for resolution and output options.

If none of these steps work:

Try a different TV: Connect your Xbox to another TV, preferably with known working HDMI ports, to see if the issue persists.

Contact Microsoft Support: If the problem seems to be with the Xbox itself, reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance.

    Additional Tips:

Visuals on HDMI Out (to TV) port: Ensure your Xbox isn't in sleep mode or displaying content on another screen connected via HDMI In (From Sat/Cable).

HDMI Cable Quality: Higher-quality HDMI cables can sometimes resolve issues with older or damaged cables.

I hope this helps! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or need additional clarification.

Help getting xbox one to show back up on Vizio tv

If you want to use your xbox to control your tv, then you want to plug your cable box or satellite into the hdmi in port on the xbox one. then you connect the hdmi out port of the xbox one to the hdmi in port on your tv(however to watch tv your xbox one
has to be on for the signal to pass through). I personally do not use the tv function of my xbox one, because I don't want to have to have my xbox on to watch tv. I have my cable box plugged into the hdmi in port of my tv, and my xbox one plugged into another
hdmi in port. Then when I want to play I just switch the input on my tv.

How do you have your Xbox One setup right now with your TV?

My set up is I have my 360 HDMI running through the in port on my Xbox one which is connected to the HDMI port on my 32" TV in my room. I don't really watch TV all that much and usually resort to netflix, hence why I set it up that way.

    Green tint hdr10

Does the Xbox still show a tinted picture when you hook it up to a different TV?

If it appears with a green tint on another TV, then this may indicate a damaged HDMI port. Does jiggling the HDMI connector affect the picture for better or for worse? For damaged HDMI ports, the system will need to be sent in for repair.
