I would be happy to see this happen, but, that x may be there to fill in a space, or it could be an original Xbox game getting re-done, but, I do have Conker, Kotor, Darkwatch, Ninja Gaiden, Turok Evolution and Mortal Kombat Deception on the games rack,
    so, yes please to BC.

Going to guess that they would offer something to Playstation Now. Not disc based backwards compatibility.

  5. And with better pricing... my ideal subscription plan would be this...

    -

I would call it Xbox Trial, BTW.

    -

For $5, you can download any game that's offered on the Store for a week. Before the week is up, it'll ask you if you want to either keep the game again for another week for $5, "exchange" it for another game for $5, buy it for the asking price, or end it
    without continuing. Simple as that.

    -

It wouldn't necessarily be a subscription based service since you'll only have to be committed to a game for no longer than a week, but if were to be a service plan, you would be required to put down $20 a month, which is basically what I pay for Gamefly,
    $17 including taxes.

    -

What do you guys think, pretty fair?

Hello "N7 Ghostz" Could backwards compatibly be coming :)

I really like that idea a lot & It would be a tremendous blessing for those that don't have the Original Xbox and Xbox 360 anymore Could backwards compatibly be coming :)

However, an External DVD Drive just to play Original Xbox & Xbox 360 games would be pointless for me because at the moment all 3 generations of Xbox are set-up in my game room Could backwards compatibly be coming :)

I think MS should work on Original Xbox emulation. I get that they abandoned it on 360 when the competition dumped it, but it goes a long way to providing some good-will to us, the gamer. "This One is for the players," as it were.

Originals were already running on X86 hardware so it couldn't be so hard to get the emulation running. MS would of course have to pay Nvidia a licensing fee for being able to run some of their code on AMD architecture, just as they had to with the 360 emulating
Original. Bring the Original games back for purchase online.

And could I dream... re-enable the Original Live service as well? Not that player population would be high, but simply to enable playing games online with your friends. Surely the Azure platform would allow virtual servers to be spun-up on an as-needed basis?
We are already paying for the Live service, after all.

They did that with the Xbox 360 and how many us actually play our original xbox titles..there are so many Xbox 360 consoles already in the market including two in my house, why would I want MS to waste productivity and consume their resources on backwards
technology instead of bring us more updated features and useful applications with the Xbox One as it's own unit. I think it's just not that big of a deal to keep two consoles sine they both have their strong points.

  11. Comfirmed Xbox one will be backwards compatible with Xbox original games. Hopefully we can get to play some good classics like Psi-ops and Advent Rising. Two games that never got the sequel they definetly deserved!

  12. Yep, originals are now showing up on the BC page, at least Crimson skies is. This is a reason for me to renew gold tbh and I hope the old crew are here, I remember you N7 Gh0stz.

I doubt original Xbox titles are going to be made backwards compatible. Seems like an awful lot of work for something they stopped supporting on the Xbox 360.

It would honestly make more sense to have backwards compatibility for the Xbox 360. It would give people more incentive to switch if they could keep a few of their current games to play while they made the transition.

@Hero....It basically boils down to "to each his own".

Well it would appeal to the- 'I still have all these 360 games, no point letting them all go to waste by buying an Xbox One'- market
