Cost to repair Xbox One a few months out of warranty - HDMI port lose.

I have a 1TB Xbox One with a lose HDMI port. It causes the display to flicker on and off. How much would it be to get it repaired?

HDMI Port Not working

My HDMI port stopped working as well. Tried everything-

Used a different HDMI cable

Used multiple HDMI ports on TV

Restarted console different ways (as outlined above)

I spoke to a rep and they are asking to send it in for repair. My console is just over a year old and I am having to pay $100+ to send in for repair (out of warranty). This is ridiculous, my Kinect sensor stopped working a few months back and I had to replace
it. It was under warranty but had to pay for shipping (around $40). I am spending almost half the cost of a new console on repairs. Is there a way I can return this console to Microsoft and get a refund? I am tired of it breaking down every few months and
having to dish out extra money to fix it!

Does xbox warranty cover broken HDMI port

I got a xbox that I bought about 6 months ago but the hdmi port broke due to my dog knocking over my console

But I want to find out if xbox cover broken hdmi ports under the warranty or will I need to pay for the repair

Hi there,

the HDMI in is meant for video to go in that can be passed via the console to the TV/Monitor via the HDMI Out port, the HDMI in port can not functions as a HDMI Out.

It sounds like that you may have to send the console in for repair to get the HDMI out port fixed

Thanks for the reply. I understand there is an issue with the Xbox HDMI port.

If the console is out of warranty, we can service the console with a repair cost.
If you open the console, the tamper seal will break. Microsoft will not service the console if it is sent in for repair.
