    Cosmetic Damage


    Bought my xbox a week ago and not really been on it much but noticed today that if you look at the top left corner where the disk drive is the plastic is slightly popped out of place and it makes it feel loose, can this be classed as a faulty product as
    it is clearly damaged? Hoping to pop to my local tesco and get it exchanged as I wont be accepting a damaged product. thanks all.

    Dropped my XBONE...

    Thanks. Ill try to talk them into it but the warranty doesnt cover cosmetic damages.

    Yes take it back get it exchanged is it on the front of the console as there is a button on the side level with the disk drive

    yeah its the front faceplate that's a bit loose its connected to the middle button on the side like you said.

    why did Microsoft send me the xbox series x back broken??? is this how Microsoft treats customers??

    they should not do that, cosmetic damage does not negate the fact there is a fan issue and is not the cause of the fan issue, which country are you in.

    I am in the UK and regardless of the cosmetic condition, if a unit is under warranty and the fault is not due to the cosmetic damage they are compelled by law to still fix the unit, they are probably having a hissy fit as they would have sent you a refurb and then fixed that one later and then sent that to another customer, which is bad practice.

    I would fight it.
