Cortana slows framerates to a crawl while recording clips.

While playing Destiny, I lose frames...I run about 3fps for 30-45 seconds after giving the command "Hey Cortana, record that." Please fix this.

Questions about recording clips on Xbox One

Couple questions, I'm just starting to try recording clips on Xbox One.

1) I know how to use Cortana to record clips of past game activity ("Hey Cortana, record that"). But is there a way to use Cortana to record
future game activity?

2) I can record future game activity the old-fashioned way (by hitting the Xbox button on my controller, going to the proper menu and selecting "record from now"). But how do you
stop or end that recording? If I go back into the same menu, there aren't any choices for stopping a current recording. Or doing anything to that current recording, for that matter.

I don't think it's possible to do this on the elite controller please be aware the dashboard update that will be releasing soon makes recording game clips much faster, also if you plug a chat headset into the controller and activate Cortana the voice command
of "Hey Cortana record that" will also work.

I agree. I cane here to say the same thing. Why move from the simple system of saying "XBOX blah blah" with instant results to "hey cortana" with rediculous lag. I used to use the "xbox record that" command all the time. Now trying to get Cortana to record
is slow and pretty much useless.

1. Preview members should post preview problems to preview forums.

2. Cortana does not suck.

3. Cortana is actually pretty accurate. Works for me 95% times. But different accents may get different results, so try to select right language options.

4. To record game clips you need to say "Hey Cortana, record that". Previously it was "Xbox, record that". Not "resume" or "play".

5. Also, if you do not like Cortana, You can always switch it off and use Kinect voice commands instead.

6. But I agree with you that they should let us use our own word to activate commands. Or just let us choose between 3 different start commands "Xbox", "Cortana", "Hey Cortana".

Sorry to hear it. There are a few things you can try here.

1. Use a headset with the Cortana commands (remember that Cortana learns the more you use her so it may take a bit before she understands)

2. Tap the guide button and then press X or Y to take a screenshot or record a clip

3. Go to settings and turn Cortana off. The system will revert to the old Xbox commands
