Cortana - Slow on last several public released versions

Cortana is really slow with the public released version of the last several xbox one releases. When asking for her to do anything she will spin and maybe eventually hear the command and then spin some more and respond, it may take 30 seconds to a minute
to just get the xbox to turn off or launch an app.

If Microsoft isn't really going to pay attention to Cortana then remove it from the platform, right now it is awful.

We need a feedback hub for the xbox and maybe just Cortana, like we have on windows 10, so that people can provide suggestions and support issues.

Installing a game on a friends console

If you purchased the game from your own Xbox One which is part of the preview with Cortana the licenses you purchase from it won't appear until the version of the console update is released to the public. That would be the reason why you can't download
it on a non-Preview console.

The public update (10.0.14393.1018) and the preview update (10.0.14393.1023) were released simultaneously (Jul 31). Verify which one of these versions you have currently running on your console.

It could be a connection issue on the console which is causing the slowness with Cortana.

Let's check a few things to narrow this down. Does the issue persist when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
• NAT Type

Let's then have you try to do a Network power cycle, to see if it helps.

• Start by powering off and unplugging your Modem, Router (if applicable) and Xbox One console.
  
• After 60 seconds of the devices being powered off, turn on the power to your Modem and then the Router (if applicable).
  
• Wait another 60 seconds for the network equipment to turn on and gain the proper signals from your ISP. Then turn on your Xbox One console.
