    Really? Cortana doesn't support my language or region? I don't know if anyone told you at Microsoft, but we have internet in our igloos now. Couldn't you figure out the conversion rate for metric internets? Explanation, please.

    Cortana Voice Commands Through Headset in Next Update

    Seems not all features of Cortana will be available just using a chat mic

    Here are a few of the things Cortana can do:

    Cortana supports natural language instead of the use of specific phrases or commands. Just say “Hey Cortana” and ask her a question or give her a command!

    Use Cortana and voice commands from your headset; no Kinect needed!

    Kinect owners can ask Cortana about things like time, weather, and sports scores. For example:

    “Hey Cortana, what time is it”?

    “Hey Cortana, will I need a jacket today?

    “Hey Cortana, did the Golden State Warriors win yesterday?”

    is there any possible way to shut off cortana. Every time I go into the cortana setting all it says it that it is not available in your region.

    It's not available in New Zealand nor Australia either. Their excuse? This accent and dialect nonsense. English is English.

    They're still finalizing the Canadian Vocal Recognition for:

    "Hey Cortana, eh" and of course for Quebec and "Maudit... je n'ai rien dit"!

    Just set it to US. Before voice commands would work here in Ireland I just set it to UK. Some parts are on the same island for crying out loud.

    I was no big deal really. It eventually came to Ireland.

    XboxOne X - Region Language

    It's clearly a bug, glitch in the OS.

    1) Did Factory Reset

    2). On start-up it installed Canada English Language at about 489Mb

    3). Reboot and worked very briefly. Right until installing games. Something in using store which links account breaks things.

    Installing 1st game (Destiny 2) saw a dialog pop up stating Cortana wasn't available.

    4.) Cortana went right back to Cortana and dictation aren't available. Cortana isn't currently supported in your language and location. Language Region en-CA, location CA. Check back after future updates.

    Annoying, frustrating and equally absurd. Three computers running Windows 10. There in English or French (Canada) Cortana is conversant.

    Why in 2018, almost 2019 does the XboxOne and a costly X fail?!?

    Very long evening, day redoing everything. Only consolation knowing half a GB of language is buried on the Hard drive.
