    Cortana No Longer Supported issue


    Hello,

    i love the voice/video capbilitoes of the Kinect. I know its no longer actuvely supported by xbox/microsoft. And so by extension, Cortana on xbox is no longer supported. Is there a way to conform or acknowledge this so that the message doesnt keep showing
    up on the xbox?

    It makes a noise and states that Cortana is no longer supported. Especially annoying when watching a streaming service and some noise or a dialogue cue’s the Cortana message with the noise. The noise plays over the dialogue of the movie or show. Sometimes
    having to rewind to rewarch the scene.

    I’ve reset my Xbox 1X multiple times, power off then on. Holding down the power button for a fill shutdown. Unplugging the Xbox from power for an extended period. I’ve searched theough the settings and fi d no iption regarding this message/pop-up. Cortana
    Settings are unavailable due to not being supported but are still listed under settings. Digital assistants dont have an option regarding this message. Privacy settings dont have a listing for this message/pop-up.

    If there is something I’ve overlooked, I would be happy to be wrong. Thank you for your help.

    Assistants not working

    Cortana is no longer available on Xbox One consoles. This means you won’t be able to issue voice commands to Cortana using your headset or Kinect.

    Check Where is Cortana support for further details.

    Hi ereeiz,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. Cortana was disable quite a while ago. It does explain how to enable Alexa for voice commands when you go to the Cortana settings.
    "Cortana is no longer supported on Xbox one. To continue using voice commands, enable digital assistants in settings and try the Xbox skill for Alexa, or use Xbox voice commands with Kinect sensor."

    Just after MC crashes to the surface of Requiem, Cortana starts having more noticeable issues. Chief asks her (again) what is wrong. She says "It's nothing, just the crash". To which Chief replies "Cortana... something was wrong before we left the Dawn".

    At which point Cortana realizes she can't hide it any longer and tells him: "I was put into service 8 years ago". Chief: "8 years"? Cortana: "AI's deteriorate after 7, Chief".
