    Cortana keeps popping up during gaming


    Dear Microsoft,
    I have a problem with my Xbox. About once every day or two when I am playing my video game Overwatch, whenever the action is getting most intense, a message will pop up asking me if I want to activate Cortana.

    This stops me from playing temporarily and makes me hit 'cancel' or something in a dialogue box. I miss about 5-7 seconds of the action and my character just sits there getting abused. This is obviously
    really annoying. I don't want to use Cortana. Is there a way to make this not bug me any more? I have done online searching but without success.

    Annoying Cortana Popup on Bootup.

    I do not want to use Cortana so I have it disabled. But now everytime I boot up my Xbox One console it keeps popping up a notification forcing me to enable the Cortana. Is there any way to shut this annoying pop-up warning off? I'm tired of being told to
    enable Cortana every time I turn on my Xbox. I don't want to use Cortana. Why can't the Xbox understand that and just drop the subject? Not only do I gey that dumb Cortana pop-up, now I also get those sound effects that play every time I use the controller
    to turn on the console. What the hell are they doing to this console? Thy're making it worse with every update!!

    Cortana Popups on Xbox One

    Hello, since this last update I'm getting these constant pop-ups on my console telling me Cortana this or Cortana that. I'm getting them at boot up everytime I boot up my console. Also when somebody invites me to either a chat party or a game invite, that
    as soon as I get the invite I get a Cortana popup almost instantly which makes it impossible to auto accept the invite using the guide button. How do I stop this from keep happening?? Please help.

    Hi, go to settings>system>cortana and turn the function off.

    Thanks for your help. Will try this and see if it pops up again in the future.

    I didn't think Cortana was on, it was more like Cortana wanted me to turn it on. There was a message like "let Cortana take speech to the next level" and an 'agree' and maybe a 'cancel' button.

    If it doesn't work, disable all mics plugged into the Xbox.

    Turning Cortana off did not stop the random occurrences of the "take speech to the next level" popup, and disabling my mic is not an option because I need it to talk to my friends.
