Discus and support Cortana hearing other players in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Is anyone having trouble with Cortana hearing other players?     Cortana hearing other players


    Is anyone having trouble with Cortana hearing other players? I use a astro a50 headset through the 3.5mm jack in the bottom of my remote. I can mute my microphone and cortana still responds to anyone talking in a lobby. I had thought my mic was picking
    up my earpiece but have ruled that out. They can pretty much control my cortana and shut off my console if they have their cortana turned off.

    Character Voices Give Away Position

    I'm referring to the characters yelling things that other players can hear. Characters have always yelled things, but only in COD3 could I remember hearing the chatter from other players.

    will everything be reset before the launch on the 22nd ?

    From what i've been hearing from other players who played the beta game yes everyone's level will be reset.

    Sounds like Cortana is hearing voice commands through the headset which a new feature that was added with the update. Try turning down the volume a little on the headset so Cortana won't respond to what's coming out of the headset.

    I turned the volume down and tested, also flipped the mic to mute position and tested with me commanding and then friends. They don't even have to speak loudly. I'll be getting a different headset soon. Not really worried about turning it off for the time
    being. Just may be a overlook that may affect people using the 3.5mm port. I can't find anyone with the same problem.

    I tried to configure the sounds settings but it didn't work. I don't have any adapter, I plug my headset directly on 3.5 mm jack of my controller.

    This is a frequent problem that plagues some gamers. It could be a simple fix. With my TB headset, I realized I had to play adjust the volume buttons on the adapter. When in a party, I would have to turn down the game volume a bit and turn the chat volume
    up and then I was able to hear people. Then I would have to reverse this when going to game chat.
