Cortana don't hear "hey Cortana"

I can use cortana, but a need go to the app, i use headphones and she can understand me but I can't access to cortana with "hey cortana"

Why is the experience of using Cortana getting worse with every Xbox One Update?

Cortana never worked as quickly as the initial Xbox Commands but was capable of doing more.

Two years later and Cortana functions worse than she did when launched in 2016 on the Xbox One.

I've tried reboots, hard restarts, re-configuring the Kinect and using headphones attached to a controller.

Cortana performs horridly in 2018.

Behavior "Hey Cortana" =

No response at all.

... and she stops listening.

Only hears "Hey Cortana" and searches the web for that phrase.

Gets stuck in a loop where the only thing heard and searched for is "Hey Cortana".

Has Microsoft COMPLETELY ABANDONED Cortana?

2 Cortanas in the same room.

What will happen if i want to say something to Cortana on my xbox but the Cortana on my windows 10 computer hears me as well? or if i say something to windows 10 Cortana and my xbox Cortana hears. What will happen? will 1 Cortana answer me or will 2 Cortanas
answer me?

I'm running into the issue where I say "Hey Cortana watch Nick Jr." or "Hey Cortana watch Disney Jr" and she recognizes the speech, but just says "try Watch tv". She does recognize "Hey Cortana watch ESPN". I've tried manually changing to these through
one guide and they're both favorites.

Cortana hears us a lot better, just won't change channels sadly.

Can you confirm what commands you are using?

Try using phrases like "Hey Cortana goto Halo 5" "Hey Cortana play Halo 5" if you have disabled Cortana try using Xbox instead of Hey Cortana.

Here are a few of the things Cortana can do:

Cortana supports natural language instead of the use of specific phrases or commands. Just say “Hey Cortana” and ask her a question or give her a command!

Use Cortana and voice commands from your headset; no Kinect needed!

Kinect owners can ask Cortana about things like time, weather, and sports scores. For example:

“Hey Cortana, what time is it”?

“Hey Cortana, will I need a jacket today?

“Hey Cortana, did the Golden State Warriors win yesterday?”

I went into settings and changed it back to 'xbox' instead of 'hey cortana' as soon as it got changed to cortana. it still works as well as it always did, which was never great. microsoft won't admit to abandoning cortana. but they certainly abandoned
Kinect. as of September 2018, there is amazon alexa integration with xbox. which should give you an idea how invested microsoft is or isn't in cortana on xbox. I don't have an xbox one S, but I don't even think it has cortana.
