Cortana Crashed my Xbox.

So, basically, i assume my xbox is still reacting to me, because get a vibration still when holding middle button to turn off.

anyways, ive switched out serveral hmdi cords, the screen changes when i turn on the xbox, so it has to be trying.

heres exactly what i did,

turned on xbox,

watched video about new updates to xbox,

put headphones on, (no kinect) went to settings, activated her, she asked to restart now or later, i chose now.

xbox retarted but never showed the dashboard again, just a lighter black than what the tv normally displays.

restarted and unplugged xbox several times, replacing cords.

currently waiting an hour and a half for a phone call back, apparently online chat isnt working, or wont work while on phone queue,

now im here, please help.

Cortana hates me.

halo 3 won't progress through campaigns

I am referring to the xbox one x update. Playing the game through, it loops through campaigns alway back to "find Cortana" so that I can not complete the game. I should be playing The Flood's crashed spaceship.

What will happen if i want to say something to Cortana on my xbox but the Cortana on my windows 10 computer hears me as well? or if i say something to windows 10 Cortana and my xbox Cortana hears. What will happen? will 1 Cortana answer me or will 2 Cortanas
answer me?

Just after MC crashes to the surface of Requiem, Cortana starts having more noticeable issues. Chief asks her (again) what is wrong. She says "It's nothing, just the crash". To which Chief replies "Cortana... something was wrong before we left the Dawn".

At which point Cortana realizes she can't hide it any longer and tells him: "I was put into service 8 years ago". Chief: "8 years"? Cortana: "AI's deteriorate after 7, Chief".

Update: I tried switching to Cortana and saying "Hey Cortana, Xbox On," "Hey Cortana, turn on," and "Hey Cortana, turn the xbox on" several times and none of those commands worked. They used to work perfectly with Cortana on my old Xbox.

At this point, I think there is either something wrong with my machine or that the Xbox One S does not support "Xbox On" commands. I think maybe the Kinect microphone is not active when the Xbox is off. Perhaps a problem with the implementation of the USB
port or the Kinect Adaptor.

Thanks for responding.

Actually, the app doesn't even crash, it just goes back to the sign in page, so no error messages.

I turned off Cortana and it fixed the problem so I guess I'll just have to live without that for now

I guess I could try uninstalling it and turning Cortana back on, but it was hard enough to turn it off without the system locking up

Of course now my Kinect won't work and I keep getting signed out of my profile for no reason

Please see instructions below

1. Cortana is only available in the US and UK at the moment.

2. Cortana is only available to consoles running the latest software. If my games and apps is in the top right of the homescreen then you are probably running the latest version of Xbox software.

3. From the guide on the left Select Settings/All settings/System/Cortana settings and check the little Cortana slider is set to on.

4. The correct voice command to use for Cortana is "Hey Cortana"

Hopefully this should help you with your issues.
