Cortana can't control volume after initial setup of audio receiver.

First off, let's start by trying a few different remote codes out:

• 3229 (This should be the correct remote code, but the following are worth a shot as well.)
  
• 1441
• 0158
• 1058

If the issue persists on those remote codes, let's try disabling Cortana to see if the Xbox commands produce similar results. To do this, navigate to 'All settings' by scrolling down on the Xbox One guide menu. Within the settings menu, scroll down to 'System'
and select 'Cortana settings'. On the Cortana settings menu, select to turn off Cortana and restart your Xbox One console.

Once you've booted back up, try commands such as 'Xbox, volume up!'. Keep us posted!

I have a Vizio soundbar connected to my TV. I ran the Audio Receiver Setup on the Xbox One and now the X1 powers on/off the soundbar along with my entire TV/DVR system.

As for volume control, if you've ran the Audio Receiver Setup then you can control the Soundbar via either voice commands or the Xbox One Smartglass App (the volume controls on Smartglass will no longer control the TV volume, however, as they'll become dedicated
to the soundbar--I presume the same may be me true for voice commands).

Do any of you also have issues with the IR blaster? My Kinect after the update wont control volume or power for my AV Receiver. Mute works, and in the setup menu it is able to control volume there but not outside the setup area. Its really really annoying!!

I picked up the PX4 over Christmas and just got around to trying them out. Initially experienced the same problems as most have described here.

To resolve the issue, I upgraded the controller software while leaving the PX4 + Adapter and chat cable plugged in. After the update, I'm no longer seeing sound cut off sporadically. However, there was still some echo'ing of the sound etc. This appears
to happen primarily due to the fact that the game audio is transmit to the PX4 wirelessly and then again from the adapter (on controller). The simplest solution was to first turn down the PX4 volume via the dial on the headset, and then hit the chat-audio
button (bottom left) on the adapter until it was maxed out (thus cutting out all game audio from controller completely). The volume controls on the adapter still let you control the chat volume independantly... so you can now use that to adjust it to your
liking. Next, adjust the game volume via the dial on the headset and you're done.

Chat audio and game audio appears to be working perfectly after the above procedure.

I fixed it by going to settings, volume, setup & AV Control. set the audio to Stereo. I am using The Astro A20 wireless headset.
