    Corrupted save


    My son has been playing this game and gotten about 30% completion but now it is saying that slot 1 is corrupted. I would hate for him to lose all his progress and have to start over. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

    Did MS give up on "the cloud"?

    Speaking in a somewhat related direction, cloud saving saved my ass, last night. (No pun intended.) For whatever reason, my save for Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO was corrupt...corrupted(?). Anyway, I deleted the local save file, rebooted the game, and it sync'd up with my XBL save, and I was good to go.

    Corrupted save

    Sorry about your issue there.

    It maybe possible to get a save that isn't corrupt. To try this:

    1. On Home, select My games and apps.
    2. Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game.
    3. In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
    4. You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:
      • Delete from console removes the local copy of this save.
    Next time you play the game, it will sync the last save made to the Xbox Live Cloud. If the game no longer crashes, problem solved. If not, you can try Xbox contacting
    Xbox Live support. Although it may be the case that the save is beyond repair.

    Really sorry to hear this.



    I don't think there's anything you can do.



    There aren't many ONE users complaining about corrupt saves so mayb he did something he shouldn't have? Turned it off too early etc...



    Could just be bad luck.



    Unfortunately he'll have to replay.



    At least it's a really fun game.

    I have the game son demand one to but noticed its a little but more glitchy then the disc but not by much though. Anyway delete it and redownload it yeah it will probably take awhile but it usually works or should improve game performance a little bit more.
    If it does not help then delete your save just in case it is corrupted and start over. If these 2 suggestions did not help then i guess its the storage unit. Anyway hope i helped a little bit but the first 2 suggestions should help

    Your best bet is to get back on the phone to support and get your original account unlocked. Hopefully you wont have messed up your saves.

    I am also having this issue. Would appear to be a bug. How can we go about reporting this? Quicksaves work fine, however.

    I just use the Cloud as a backup option. I play the game on my HD and do all my saves there. Then a couple times a week, I go to the console settings on my dashboard. Go to the Storage option, select games, and find Skrim. Then I find my 2-3 most recent
    saves and I hit 'Copy.' I then copy them to the cloud for backup. That way, I still play the game off my HD, but I have a backup in case something gets corrupt or some other mishap occurs. This already saved me once because due to the fact that Bethesda insists
    on having ALL save games in one directory, I accidentally saved over my main characters newest save. Luckly, that one was on the cloud, so I just copied it back to my HD and all was well.

    The Cloud seems like a good option for backup, but I don't trust it enough to use as my primary storage option.
