  1. Corrupted internal hard drive. What is the solution?

I have an Xbox One with a corrupted internal hard drive. Because of this it wont start. I confirmed it's bad by taking it out of the console and hooking it up to a computer, however, it's so badly corrupted somehow that it locks my computer up when it
tries to access it. Scandisk and chkdsk do not work on it...they just hang. Thanks to Microsoft not having easily replaceable hard drives this time around <throws shade towards Seattle> like the PS4 has, I can't just pop a new one in and update an update
file. What is Microsoft's solution for such a problem? I even opened up a good Xbox One and cloned it's hard drive onto a new 500gb hard drive and out that in the bad console but it doesn't get past the black screen with the picture of the console and the
loading bar. (but this screen also doesn't have any text). Is there an easy solution other than sending to Microsoft pay more than a hundred dollars more than the cost of a new drive for service?

    :)

  2. My Xbox 360 S is freezing! HELP!

My Xbox 360 S 4gb is freezing in the start up. I know what happened, my 4gb internal memory is corrupted. I wrote a post here like 2 months ago, and they give me a verified answer..... "You can use a 250gb hard drive while your 4gb is corrupted."..........
I take a look on how much a 250gb hard drive cost. Its very expensive. So... I'm thinking, if I can use my USB Hard drive... so instead of my Xbox 360 booting to the corrupted 4gb, it will boot to the USB hard drive.... WILL THAT WORK????

  3. Can't connect to Xbox Live and can't format Xbox 360 s 4gb

One last thing, While my 4gb Internal Hard drive is corrupted.... Can I still use a 250gb External hard drive? So instead of booting to the 4gb, it will boot to the 250gb? is that possible??

Corrupted internal hard drive. What is the solution?

In the moment you have self serviced your console, the warranty on that console is void and you can't ask for further assistance in the forums or send that console for repairs. As stated on the warranty agreement:

Microsoft is not responsible and this warranty does not apply if Your Xbox One or Accessory is opened, modified, or tampered with (including, for example, any attempt to defeat any Xbox One or Accessory technical limitation, security, or anti-piracy mechanism,
etc.), or its serial number is altered or removed.

  5. The warranty is void a year after purchase, which this console already is past, so thanks for stating the obvious. That is why I opened the console to run a check for bad sectors on the hard drive. I would not send a console to Microsoft to pay them $150
dollars to fix a $50 hard drive. However, the problem still exists and you didn't answer the question of what was Microsoft's plan for damaged hard drives (since they didn't make them replaceable?)

To end the warranty period and to void the warranty are two very different notions that are clearly described in the link I send you. With your actions you have lost any privilege on requesting assistance from MS (you willing to pay for it or not has no
    consequence at this point).

I suggest you to take that hard drive you tampered and seek help from a local retailer that can offer technical assistance.

The drive is not accessible by your computer because it is formatted in a proprietary format that is not readable by the computer. That is why an external drive has to be formatted by the console before it can be used for games and apps. It is highly
unlikely at this point you will find anyone that can or will get the console working for you.

Yeah since you opened the xbox one microsoft wont repair it anyway now (not even IF you payed) . They wont touch it with a ten foot rod. You also wont get any help here as discussion of self repair is against the forum rules
