    So I recently purchased Halo The Master Chief Collection digitally from Target, and I proceeded to redeem and install the game. I was able to play for about 2 days until I turned on my Xbox One X and it took a little longer than usual to start up. I didn't
    think of it too much and I went on to start the game. Suddenly, I was given an error code telling me "The item you're trying to use appears to be corrupt. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it. (0x80070570)". I then tried to press Close but my console was frozen.
    I then attempted a hard reboot holding the power button on my console and I was met with an error screen reading "Something went wrong" followed by "System Error E105 00000000 8007045D". I tried factory resetting my console (both keeping games and deleting
    all) but I was met with the same error every time I attempted a reset. I then did an offline reset and it seemed to work until I tried playing my game again. Now I was getting a new error reading "There's a problem with your saved games." telling me to delete
    my saved games and sync them again. I did just that but I was met with the same error every time I booted my game up again. I factory reset my Xbox again, contacted support, went in for an appointment at my local store, but nothing seem to work and now I'm
    stuck with a basically unusable console.

    My warranty is expired by 4 months and I was told I would have to pay $250 dollars if I wanted to get my console repaired. I honestly just don't know what to do as none of this was even my fault and I am basically being made to pay for a new Xbox for an
    error that had nothing to do with me.

    The only thing I can think of is trying to connect your HDD with a transfer cable to a pc and see if you can format it, I haven't seen anything about corrupt hard drive fixes, if this doesn't work or you don't have a cable then I am really sorry I am at
    a loss and don't know what to suggest, hopefully someone else will come and give you some help.

    Have you tried using your hard drive on a different console to see if it shows as a unformatted or corrupted hard drive there? Does any console even read the hard drive when attached? If you can view the files on it, then be sure to make a back up of the
    save files as soon as possible. If the hard drive is not able to be recognized by any console though, then unfortunately the save files would be lost. let us know exactly what you are seeing though. We are here for ya!

    The corruption is a hardware issue, so it won't spread to a new device. However, if the data you transfer is corrupted it won't become UNcorrupted when it's transferred, so nothing that's currently problematic is going to work with the new drive.

    Hi there - I would recommend backing up all of the data on your harddrive to another storage device, and then re-formatting your Xbox hard drive. If it is still corrupted, you will need to send it off for repair:

    support.xbox.com/.../repair-process     You can then try transferring all of your data back onto the hard drive, but unfortunately there is no guarantee that your save files themselves were not corrupted.
