    Corrupted File/Xbox Light On But No Visuals


    So I spent about 2 hours with the wonderful Rose who helped guide me though an emotional roller coaster with my Xbox One S. Basically some weird things occurred and I instinct fully hard rest my Xbox (Hold the power button for 15 seconds). After that my
    console seemed dead, as the power indicator was on but there was no visuals and towards the end it would show a black screen for around 1-2 minutes then the console would shut off. Here's my advice for you in your best hopes!

    First contact Xbox text support so they could guide to the point where you see troubleshoot screen. When they say to factory rest you console and tell you to chose "Keep your games and apps" ALTHOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO, trust me and just click DO NOT
    keep games and apps, it will save you so much more sadness and actually get your problem solved.

    ALSO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT AT ANY POINT AFTER CLICKING FACTORY RESET, MAKE SURE YOU DO
    NOT PRESS THE POWER OR UNPLUG YOUR CONSOLE AT ANY POINT FOR ANY REASON! It can take around 10 minutes until you see the original startup screen so be careful no need to corrupt more.

    Need serious help!

    Did you see if they were corrupted? I don't know to much about it, but have tried using a flash drive on my xbox and pc and my files always disappeared or were corrupted by using the xbox.

    Apps not loading

    contacted customer service..had 1 corrupted file....deleted it...cleared cache...deleted profile only....restarted console...downloaded profile again....then everything worked

    to find the corrupted file...go to settings hard drive and look for each possible file...the corrupted file has a warning sign.
    clearing cache - hard drive...press Y - did that 3 times

    Xbox Game Bar, error first start-up

    Thanks for the photos. It seems like the files VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll are either missing or corrupted. I suggest installing Microsoft Visual
    C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3     as these files are part of the package and should resolve the issue.

    the "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library runtime error" only occurs when the Xbox Controller is plugged in using a USB but does not happen with any other USBs or programs?




    Is the PC completely up to date? Are the drivers up to date as well?




    please try to perform a clean boot, this helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program
    or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10. Here is the link on

    its just something that happens but if you tred to edit it that could have done it and editing files is a violation of the terms of use but i think it sounds like a error by your xbox so you should be fine

    It just happens sometimes, I have experienced it myself once or twice.

    Unfortunately when a saves corrupt there is no way to recover it, so you would need to delete it and start again.

    If you go into your consoles memory> games> Batman> it should be checked with an exclamation mark.

    That is the one that needs to go.

    the multiplayer and achievements will stay if you delete the data. but your single player progress wil be terminated.
