Corrupt profile, Help!

I was just playing some Skyrim right now and tried to save. Wasn't working. Kept playing, kept saving, but it just didn't save. Finally I went to the Dashboard and looked at my storage settings and quickly saw under my Gamertag 'Corrupt profile' . My world
shook. I have the old white xbox and recently got a slim from a pal. I use a flash drive for my slim which only has 4GB. My profile and the Skyrim data are the only items in there. I log out and back in by signing in and entering my password, but it just gives
an error code along with a "update" or something. Also my avatar and gamer pic are blank, and white. I don't want to lose this profile along with every Ach. And what not. If it's gone for ever, I'll just switch back to ps1 and 2.. Would still love Microsoft,
but just won't bother to play Xbox anymore. Help please. ? ):

You didn't call out of the matrix before being unplugged, now your profile is corrupt.

Yeah it hasnt worked for ages......my profile corrupt so could have done with this working :-(

The Slim console has built in memory that you can store your gamertag on as well if you don't want to keep using a usb stick.

Try deleting the gamertag only (not gamertag and items) from the console then clear the cache and restart the console. After that try redownloading the gamertag to the console. That should fix the issue.

I just moved my profile out of the USB and into the slims memory. Now there are 2 profiles of mine. The one in the slim is not corrupt. I can see my friends, Ach, avatar and all that. Should I still follow your steps? Or is my profile fine now?

Your profile should be good now. Go ahead and delete the one on the usb stick.

I hope they fix this problem. Profiles shouldn't ever be corrupted.

What do you mean by restore? I've never seen that option before.

You can get your friend to recover your profile from Xbox LIVE and save it to a USB flash drive and he can give you the flash drive. You will lose any achievements obtained while you were offline though.

Maybe you can tell him to go online with your profile, so it gets updated to Xbox LIVE, then tell him to recover it and give it to you.
