Corrupt files on HDD and System memory

I played Batman Arkham Origins yesterday which suddenly froze. I waited for around 5 minutes but still stuck at loading so I turned it off. The next morning when I turn on my console, I was surprised the everything was corrupted. I mean everything. From
save files to profiles, downloaded games to game updates. Basically everything that were saved in the HDD and System memory were corrupted and unusable. Even my cloud saves were unusable because it can't recognized that it was owned by me.

I can forgive it if it was only the files related to Batman Arkham Origins the were corrupted. But it's really hard to take that a worth of 162GB of save games were instantly gone. How could a single game corrupts like that? I also tried "Clearing the cache",
restarting my console, removing the HDD and reinserting again, etc. but to no avail. No matter what I do now, I can't recover them all. I'll just have to live by the fact that I will download every game again and that I have to play everything again.

If it happened to me, then it could happen to anybody.

I want to know if anybody encountered the same issue as mine? By the way, I using a 320GB HDD.

    :)

  2. Error Updating Avatar Clothes.

First, check your avatar items in the memory to see if any are marked as corrupt. If they are, delete them.

    1. Find/delete corrupt items: System Settings > Memory > [select storage device] > Avatar Items > [find corrupt item] > Delete
    2. Clear system cache: System Settings > Memory > Highlight HDD, press (Y) > Clear System Cache
    3. Restart the console
    4. Reload the Avatar Editor
If this doesn't help your issue, you can try to delete the Avatar Update Cache:

    1. Delete update cache: System Settings > Memory > [select storage device] > Games > Avatar Editor > Avatar Asset Refresh Cache > Delete
    2. Clear system cache: System Settings > Memory > Highlight HDD, press (Y) > Clear System Cache
    3. Restart the console
    4. Reload the Avatar Editor

Corrupt files on HDD and System memory

    Hi there,

it's probably not the game that caused the issue, but more likely the hard drive itself.

Which may (likely) need to be formatted, after that you will need to redownload all games and profiles and if in luck it will synchronize the correct (and hopefully) not corrupt save games from the cloud again.

If it happens again, then you might want to consider getting a new hard drive.

    USB Unformatted Itself

File system corruption happens when you: A, use a crappy USB stick, or B, use a good USB and it's dying. Either way, there's no way to get your files back. Don't use USB sticks. Use an external HDD instead, or your internal memory.

Sounds like your storage might be corrupted. You should check your files by going to Settings>System>Storage>Memory Unit or HDD>Games and Apps. Check out 2k13 and see how it looks there. If you see anything that says Corrupted File or has a yellow circle
with an exclamation point in it, they are corrupted. Your hard drive might be dying a slow death. Let me know what you see!

Clear the cache and look for any corrupted files in the hdd and delete them. Clearing the cache is easy, go to settings, memory, highlight your device and press Y.

fallout 3 downloaded, says disc unreadable

BTW, the reason to download it straight to a separate storage device is that my understanding of the problem is that some file is corrupted on the main HDD and when you delete it...that file remains on the HDD. And every time you re-download, it uses that
    same corrupted file.

So by downloading the file somewhere else, you FORCE the system to download a new, un-corrupted file. Hope that all makes sense.
