    Corrupt files on external hardrive


    when I go back and play games that I haven't played in a while it says the game isn't ready yet even though its installed. I uninstall and try reinstalling it but it says the game file is corrrupt and it doesn't install. When I install it directly to the
    internal hardrive it works but when I try to install to my external hardrive it doesn't. I've tried everything. Please help

    X-Box Hard Drive unformatted all of the sudden!?!?

    Hey..Have you taken a look inside your hardrive files for any corrupt files..Try to clear the system catche as well

    Hi Ive pre ordered and downloaded black ops 3 to my external hardrive, if I take my console and external hardrive round my friends will it work without corrupting the file ? As the external hardrive will be unplugged from my house to his. I did this last
    year and I had to re download the game at midnight which wasn't fun

    Do you mean like an external storage hardrive? If this was the case, wouldnt it stop me from downloading other games as well? Or could it just be corrupted with this one game?

    Ok I have not checked to see if my system had corrupt files. I have a 250gb hardrive with about 190 gb left of space. I will also try to usb solution asap.

    Also is there a part of xbox.com where it shows how to check if your system has corrupt files?
