    Hi. In the new reality of Coronavirus lockdowns and social distancing the only safe way for kids to interact is virtually.

    In my house we have 2 consoles to share between 2 kids and 2 adults. To help the situation of being stuck in the house together 24hrs a day I would like to get another Xbox but only if I don't have to purchase all the games again and pay for the subscriptions
    again. Just can't afford that.

    Please Microsoft, help families out in the current situation and create a proper family account where games subscriptions can be shared between all Xbox consoles registered to a family.

    It would make life a lot easier currently, more consoles would be bought and you would surely get a lot of positive press.

    As a family with 5 Xbox consoles in use, I've been purchasing 3 separate subscriptions. I have been advocating for some sort of "Family Plan" for awhile now. Im not sure how it could be done, as it would need to be in a way as to not be "abused".

    I actually just tried this and you are correct you can only have 2 xbox's on a family account. I was surprised by that because I had always thought it was up to four Xboxs for some reason. I hope that is something that Microsoft corrects.

    Same LAN maybe? They'd be connecting to Xbox Live from a single public IP. I know that could probably be spoofed or VPN'ed or something. Maybe use 1 Xbox as a Live service proxy as well? Maybe even create a LAN dongle that acts as the proxy and allow a max
    of... 5 XBOXs to be registered to it. Maybe that dongle could be a Raspberry Pi to keep costs down? An Xbox AD of sorts with an Xbox licensing "server", or something. Who knows...

    I am sure the highly skilled techies at Microsoft and Cisco could work something out together to help.

    Life is tough for sure, but sometimes a little struggle is good for us. I also have to share my console with my kids. I just do other things until they go to bed.
